yep, you changed or adapted your story, wich is an insurance fraud... the sad thing though, is that you were still covered if you told the truth, because your cause of loss is the same in your thrue story and your fake one (it's a loss of control)
except if they had discovered it, you would have a bit of trouble (nothing harsh, but still more question, verification) learn your lesson, don't do stupid things on the road... and your real penalty will be your car damages... even if it looks brand new, in a few years, when rust will come out of those repairs, and when the paint wont shine the same in that area than the rest of the car, you will remember that you stupidly broke a new car.... |

P.S. Why would I burnout in a BRZ? This location has been my preferred spot to practice bad behavior since I got my license. My train of thought has been if you're driving a nice car people, friends, ect, are going to ask you to do stupid stuff; I wanted to be prepared so I practiced here. I had no practice with the BRZ when this situation came about and I suffered for it. I look forward to taking a track day class and improve my driving ability.

If you're driving a "nice" car, who gives a rats ass what people ask you to do? The old "would you jump off a bridge..." seems appropriate here. Show some maturity and stop practicing "bad behavior." I've owned a 'who's who' of sports cars over the past 15 years, including Porsche, Audi, Nissan, and Acura. Tons of people would rev their engines next to me at stoplights. Know how many of them I raced? Zero. Take it to the track.
It's great that you're proud of your BRZ, man, but seriously - show some respect for it, for yourself, and for anyone else who may be on the road. There is a time and a place. |

Do you know how many time people go off the roads in snowy condition/aqua planning, and have to get their insurance to cover the damage? Should have they been there in the first place? Going too fast? Careless? The lines between accident and stupidity can sometime be thin. And what is a REAL accident? There is always 1 driver's who's at fault for lack of attention/careless driving...he's lucky he was the only one involved.

I guess I can see how one can lose control of these cars with all of the nannies off...
I drive around in the snow and ice switching between all of the settings. Some work better than others. Snowy incline and stoplight-starts are easier with TC off. At speed, turning a wide, gradual corner seems easier with VSC Sport activated. On the highway, all of the nannies are on since I'm going fast and straight. Right now it is icy and slick as snot, so I've kept all of the nannies on. I've gone out and had some fun in open parking lots with other Subies. You REALLY have to be hooning to have something go terribly wrong with these cars. Even when there's a little slippage, I can instantly tell and adjust according because this car communicates SO well. All of my other AWD performance Subarus were vague. So, in my opinion, if you're going to go buckwild, start slow, then work up to Drift King. |

Damn!! If you were following this car so much, how did you miss this video?!
I want to feel sorry for you but I honestly can't. You should have went to a large empty parking lot if you wanted to fuck around. ![]() [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j8qggahGNH0"]Toyota GT 86 Traction Control Demonstration [SKIDPAD] - YouTube[/ame]

![]() I have to say that I am just so glad we have so many moms patroling the forums. The guy made a mistake, he didn't have to come on here and tell you he felt stupid but figured maybe someone could learn from his mistake. I guess as most have already pointed out, leave the T/C on or at the very least keep it limited to Sport mode when out and about. I've found this car is pretty dicey in the rain on the stock tires. |
