Actually, they are quite a bit tougher than the hoses above. Those above are good, but not wire reinforced. The wire reinforced are a step above that, they are very, very tough. You can stand on one (and I'm no lightweight) and they won't collapse.

Don't take this the wrong way because overall I think the silicone tubes are a great choice and I would be proud to have them on my car, but your "hot pipe" will dissipate heat under the hood sort of a pre intercooler. Aluminum would do this better and be lighter. It's a negligible difference though.

If you've seen this stuff, you wouldn't be asking.

What changes would have to be done to run 10psi? Other than larger injectors? I saw that the kit comes with a manual actuator that moderates boost between 5-7psi. What are the extra costs?

Just search a bit man all your questions have been answered a few times.

Only 1 page ago Paul said there's no official details on stage 2. But if you wanted to do it yourself -

Injectors, MAP sensor, either a wastegate spring upgrade or an EBC. You could use a standalone boost controller, or use an acutator with ECUtek boost control.

Update - santa's little elves, or at least AVO's, have been busy working on some updates to the turbo kit.

This is what it will look like with the full ceramic coating. That's exhaust manifold, turbocharger hotside, and the turbo discharge pipe.

Sharp-eyed forum members will note that there are additional differences between this and the initial kit photos, such as the one on my car. We *have* been busy, using feedback from the racetrack testing (road course, not drag) to make some improvements.

1. The oil reservoir tank has been redesigned to a flat tank, with the oil breather line moved to the front. This was to improve fitment and increase capacity of the tank. In the case of the breather line we found that due to the acceleration of the turbo kit (seriously) it was having some oil go up the line under hard launching/acceleration.

2. The exhaust manifold piping was redesigned for a more compact fit and even shorter piping, to improve the fitment under the engine tray and to increase response even more.

3. Hard to see, but an additional bracket for mounting the turbo was added.

And to answer the question yet to be asked, but I know it will be, yes, these are changes that will show up on the initial batch of kits shipping in January.

It fit automatic trannies before, so yes. Our reason for not "releasing" the kit for the automatics doesn't have to do with fitment issues, but for general testing reasons.

Very nice! The reservoir looks like it is much better engineered. Do you have a bigger pic by any chance?
