I've heard the '91-'94 Sentras were excellent but anything before and after was crap.
Anything before? Yes, steamy crap.
No doubt the 91-94s was one of the best sentras ever.
03-06 Spec V's were good as well and decent track cars.
The 07+ Spec Vs are stock for stock faster in a straight line pushing 200hp.

To OP:
I've owned a Spec V and for a forum for your car, if your interested, allsentra.com would be a good one.

If it isn't a Spec V or at least an SE-R, it is merely an appliance.

I nearly bought a B15 SE-R. An entertaining test drive with lots of torque (and torque steer). I picked up an Acura RSX instead (mostly for the looks and a little more refinement).

My sister actually ended up getting the B15 SE-R after test driving everything in the compact car class. She also ended up with a few speeding tickets too (she has a lead foot (just like me)). That engine pulled well. That car weighed almost 200 lbs less than the FR-S and while being 35 HP less, it had almost 25 ft lbs more torque. While other grades received the 2.5 L engine, the SE-R definitely had a more sporting character.

Excessive wheel gap is a feature nowadays. Manufacturers catering to the donk crowd.

For front wheel drive cars, the '91 thru '94 Sentra SERs were fantastic. I had two, a '91 and a '94. Wonderful SR20DE engines, awesome 5 speed shifters, and only 2 doors. Later SERs were only available as 4 door sedans, not exactly sports cars.

I just gave my '02 B15 SER to my grandson as his first car. I hope he has a light foot, since any Sentra SER can get you in a lot of trouble in 3rd gear. The QR25 engine was also in the Altima, a much heavier car.

My dad had a B13 (93 I think?) base when I was a kid. I LOVED that car. He'd let me shift from the passenger seat. And it had cool motorized seat belts.

I've heard that modded they can be stupidly quick around small tracks for such a cheap car.
