Yea whats up with that. Doesn't seem very fair at all. Did you go to court to decide on child support. $550 seems high.

Damn that sucks, but... you are making the right choice. Cars are replaceable, blood/family is not. Glad to see you're doing the right thing for your kid. Hope you get this all sorted out. I'd buy you a round if I was there.

Yeah aperently she only makes 270 a month? Wth. And I make a decent amount. So I get screwes

Dude,

I don't know your situation, but I will tell you this - spend the money to get a DNA test on that kid before you go down this path. If it's proven to be yours through science, then be a good dad and pay the baby mama, but know for sure. Don't take a baby mama that hid some kid from you's word for granted.

Seen more than one friend get took like this.

Bad situation.. but how in the hell does someone make 270 bucks a month? If they work 22 days a month (about avg) that's $12.27 per day. Even if we say that's after taxes, that's what, 2 hours a day at minimum wage?

I'm all for parents paying for their children but wish there was a little more fairness built in..

you have to be on the birth cert or get a dna test done for child suport to be taken into affect tell her to gtfo until then

I have always said that instead of tryign to scare boys with STD's they need to show them examples of guys who make good money but are dead broke due to paying baby mama. There was one guy at an old job that had 6 kids with 6 different women. He was a VP and made really good money. He lived in a shit hole apt and drove a beat up old ass car.
