Ahh, see there is where you need correction.

I test product, not promote, the fact that I think a PD blower or a turbo are not what that car needs are my opinions. I dont do promo for anyone.

Some people say "jesus christ that is so awful you should kill yourself."
Some people say "Totally not my taste, but glad you like it."

Some say "that looks like shit".
sorta in the middle, given your drama filled example above..

its not being unkind or uncool. its what the guy thinks, that it looks like shit.
clearly, telling someone to go die is uncalled for, but telling someone "That is so aweful", well, sometimes its what needs to be said, and someones gotta say it!

Brags to everybody about testing product on an online forum.

(insert le meme pic here)

Now semantically correct, and still just as funny.

Sounds like promotion to me.

while we are having fun..

when did Vortech or Perrin tell me to shut the F up?
Where was this at?
... Must have been sleeping at the keyboard or failed to read between the lines!

My vote is the failed to read between the lines part.

Of course I took some dramatic liberties with the choice of 'STFU' for comedic purposes, but when Perrin came into a thread to disavow any official association with you and got the thread locked. Well, a lot of people interpreted that as a very tactful 'STFU'.

That thread lockdown BS is the style of the Moderators, not Perrin. Not sure where you saw official disassociation as they are still sending me boxes of test parts, stickers etc. I maintain a pretty healthy relationship with my vendors and am pretty stoked about my build.

Did anyone read the fucking article? Lol

Anyway. Stay in local forums, that's really the only way. That's why I went to i-club instead of nazioc in the end unless I needed tech info.

This forum is cool for the most part, but will slowly degrade more than likely. The enthusiasts should migrate to a certain older hachi forum run by a member of this site. Now that is full of enthusiasts. I spent more time there when I owned my sti than on any subi forum

Honestly this site has some of the most lax mods around because we do police ourselves quite a bit. Someone usually calls you on it when your out of line and and they stop drama early WHEN REQUESTED. They don't do it on their own. See the VG sharkfin GB as an example. Solved a lot of issues by doing that and nobody got too bent out of shape in the end. Keep telling people that mod is shit and pretty soon mods will start modding posts for cussing. So lets keep the forum self policing and knock off stupid crap like that and tell them you hate it, don't like it, whatever it or just don't freaking post. Who really gives a damn in the end anyway. If people don't like it they should move on. It should be there to give others ideas on what they might like and you should be thankful either way that someone else tried it so you can better understand a direction you may want to take you car.

I enjoy, how mods get attacked. lol Yeah keep blaming em! I usually blame @Guff most of the time. It works... but sometimes he gets me back and blames me instead.

Only serious note, there's a fine line between honest & jackass.
Example: Just say I make this body kit & put it on my FRS/BRZ and posting it here.

"This looks like shit" ISN'T honest comment. It's called jackass comment... or you lack vocabulary.
"I don't like it" IS honest comment. Adding a reason why (respectfully) would help w constructive debate (like: "Front bumper isn't my taste, but if you change the front grill part like...")

I have warned & quoted this before (& several mods & admins also)
If you don't have anything positive or constructive to add to a topic, move on!

Trust me, even without jackass comments, thread will still keep going. If it's REALLY horrible thread, LEAVE IT ALONE! let the other topics go on top, so it'll die ASAP! Don't need to drag it out like a zombie that keep coming back alive.

Kinda off-top (well we're in off-topic section anyways lol)
Thanks to all the members reporting all those posts. You guys are helping out A LOT on mods & admin side. Also keeping the forum mature and civilized, you guys are awesome!

I dont really like that kit. I really enjoy the sharper featuresof the frs. Plus in my opinion, the main grill istoo similar to a 370z
