Just bought these aftermarket tail lights

He had to change two wires around, so he just cut them, wired them correctly and shrink wrapped. He posted a couple pages back which ones, I believe it was the white and blue wires that were connected incorrectly

I emailed japanparts regarding the wiring and they said that they had not had any issues with these tails and spoke with Colin directly regarding the wiring issues. So this may very well be an isolated issue with this particular set.

Havn't checked mine out as of yet due to weather, but the wiring is identical to his at the plug location. This doesn't neccessarily mean they are wiring incorrect though, as the wires could have be run backwards to the circuit board or bulb plug on his set

Completely forgot about these guys! Bublake and I tried on the taillights on my whiteout before installing on his car. We didn't hook it up, only put it in to see how it would look on my car. For those of you interested in these tail lights for a whiteout, here you go!

I have a whiteout as well, im torn between smoked and red (since the white appear to be those led "dots") the smoked ^ go well w the black lower rear bumper, but i think the red will look more like "non altezza stock lights"

Ps my last car was a is300 red w smoked tails, i dunno i just cant stand the clear/chrome lights

Oh you're right thanks. I wonder how long the wait is at this point...I emailed them for info and will post if I get a response.

Update (response from japanparts.com): "Unfortunately, it is on back order so it would take about 1 month."

How do you like your lights? Did you ever see if you have the same backwards wiring issue?

Yeah I thought I saw that the newer chrome and red tails were backordered at japanparts website
As far as my tails go, no I havn't tested as of yet. Unfortunately I probably won't get around to installing until spring.

My office is beginning to look like a parts store for aftermarket BRZ
