I almost bought the ACI Mod-GT hood from Autocity, but it was a toss-up between that and the one you're looking at.

I do indeed have the TRD S/C, never did any retuning. Most people who wanted to mess with it just put a 9.5psi pulley on it, and the car was able to handle it. The only mod I've done with that system is to put an improved bypass valve on it.

As far as pictures, I just made a thread so that we don't go too off-topic here.

This is the Eclipse that Mitsu should have built:

Ralliart Concept:

AWD, turbo 4G63 drivetrain, this car would've been a worthy Eclipse! Looks easily 5x better than an Evo, IMO

This is def a worthy eclipse, and unfortunately never came to production...however the eclispe does have this replica body kit, and there have been 3-4 successful AWD eclipses/turbo

especially the newest project from this gentleman in Russia

http://club4g.org/board/members-ride...s-razor-4.html

In my opinion Mitsubish has been known as a "Tuner Car" right? so what they expect out of their buyers is "tuners" when you bought a 1997 eclipse GSX you got a 200 hp awd car and this opened up the market for people to modify the car...this is the same exact options owners a 265 HP 3.8L V6 have and is even closer and ready to be unleashed to reach 420 hp...Tuners are needed for this car...not people that "wish it had been this or that"....does that make sense?
we can dream in one hand and sh*t in another but we will never get the "perfect daily driven what "I" want car" sicne so many people have so many different needs and wants in a vehicle. so mitsu did what they could for their customers needs of a coupe...i can't be dissapointed for what i wanted, just as toyta/subaru are doing the same with the 86

I've always wanted them AWD Eclipse .. and then they killed the AWD and only FWD and I never looked back.
The look is ok, nothing too special.
For $30k .. I'd have to say you got robbed harder than anybody I know :/
Honestly I've been looking for a car since 2008, waited for the FR-S and I'm suuper glad I did.
Its everything I wanted .. just a small lack in torque mid range.
I'd rather have a linear curve of torque and hp but w.e

we don't get Eclipse down here, but by the look of it. It looks like a copy of Porsche from the back, the fron looks like it's crossed with a Evo .

Shit for 30k you could have spent a couple more grand and had an Evo X. Though they really arent the nicest thing either, I traded mine in after only one month because it felt cheap and fell on its face all the time.

Throw in another vote for the FR-S. $30k on the Eclipse seems steep. That's nearly turbo kitted FR-S territory. I stopped looking at the Eclipse when the GSX dropped off their line-up.

That being said, I miss my '91 GSX.

It's your car, if you love it, that's all that matters.

Ok I feel I can weigh in on this. I bought a 2010 GS about a year ago. It was basic and I just wanted a newer car. It was fun for a while and it got a few looks with the brembos and 350z wheels i put on it but i wanted more. So a year after owning that i traded it in for a 2011 GT. This was fully loaded everything you can think of. The power was great and very under rated. I threw on some evo x bbs wheels and had the emblems painted candy apple red and with just that it got some views. However i only owned it 4 months before trading it in for the frs. Honestly i will never regret it. Yeah the v6 eclipse would woop the frs in a straight line all day long but this car is still too much fun to drive. I had an automatic because in 2011 Mitsubishi stopped making the eclipse in manual transmissions. So the eclipse was a cruiser that could go if i pressed the gas. The frs is something totally different. And in my honest opinion the true sports car. The eclipse isn't even a comparison. I have the frs lowered and with an exhaust and intake it gets more looks than i can keep track of. Watch out tho everyone and their moms will want to race you just because if you get the FRS.

2010 GS

2011 GT

2013 FRS
