That is easily one of the coolest gifs I have seen to date. Now imagine a Raven FR-S in there, and I just may pee my pants

Man, I need to start learning to multi-quote

As liking the SC vs a turbo, its similar to comparing apples to oranges. I like the SC, even if it makes less power overall, because the concept is simple, application is simple, and you get a nice, even torque curve and linear HP line over almost the entire rev range. Fuel efficiency is barely impacted, other than my desire to put my right foot down more often

Actually, I no longer have the car...traded it for the FR-S. And I had the TRD/Vortech supercharger.

NICE TC.
I read that the TRD SC had big issues. Did you have any?
For example

The TRD Supercharger was very unreliable for me. My tC was supercharged for a little over a year if I remember correctly. My first 1 blew its bearings within about 5k miles and it was entirely stock. The second 1 looked like it had redesigned components on it so I decided to push it and by installing the NST 9.5. Lasted 2 weeks LOL. Bearings blew again. I had numerous issues with my tC (im sure plenty of my threads with me venting my outrage still exist somewhere here) from blown ring, scored cylinder walls, multiple synchro failures, and of course 2 dead superchargers. Never tracked the car either. I had to unload it on someone else it was just a nightmare. Life is much better now.

But back to the topic. The SC was pretty cool while it lasted. It was somewhat of a sleeper. I had it dynoed on a dyno dynamics machine and it put down only 180whp at 7 psi bone stock. Felt like it had alot more power than that though. If you can find a kit super cheap I say try it out. But IT WILL FAIL. Its only a matter of time. Its just not a very good design hence why it is no longer produced,

I saw that post too, he likely had one of the earlier models (and sounds like he beat on it quite a bit as well). I didn't have any problems like that, but there was an issue with the install that was done by the dealership, which is a LOOOONG story. The part itself, howerever--I loved it.
