Well, according to this: http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=20926

one if them will need modifying...and sure as hell I wont try to modify the Perrin part. See below:

"The picture below shows the insulator with the Whiteline bushing and the metal slug removed. Take notice that the Whiteline ID is bored exactly to the metal slug. This eliminates any lateral movement in the slug but doesn't help with the twisting inherent with the smaller rectangular head.

The Perrin is designed to sit flush in the insulator and join the two metal plates. The Whiteline prevents this. You can modify one of the products so they work together. I personally would modify the Whiteline because it is easier to cut urethane than to grind away aluminium. Will one of the two vendors modify their products? That's up to them to decide and they will surely announce any modifications if they do. I would not be surprised if they choose not to.

Hmmmm, I think you may be on to something with that Greddy rear diffuser! I can't wait to see it installed on your car! If it wasn't so bloody expensive I'd definitely order one, along with an STI front lip and side skirts.

Hella Supertones finally installed!

Got these babies installed today. Big thanks to @sirus(who did all the work :P).
Highly recommend going to Riverton Auto Electrics for all your automotive-electrical needs. Those guys know whats up!

Incidentally Sirus had the ingenious idea of just removing the bottom two panels before the bumper. Sadly I did not have my mobile phone camera with me at the time, otherwise I would have taken some happy snaps.

There is about 8-12 or so of the plastic clips that are holding these two large plastic pieces and 4-6 8mm/10mm hex bolts securing them(from memory). They have a phillips head on the top so you can use your screwdriver to remove them too. Pretty much the same as the 10mm bolts holding down the aero panels near the exhaust/transmission area.

Oh yeah, you can only do this type of install if you have a hoist. Removing the bottom panels also makes it so much easier to 'level' the Hella Supertones too as the driver side(Oz) is bout 5mm or so higher than the passenger side.

Here are some pics..

Also while the car was up on the hoist, I was checking out the back bumper part - as I am going for the Greddy X Rocket Bunny/Tra Kyoto rear diffuser.
NOT looking forward to installing that! Hopefully someone will do a DIY before I receive it :P

Lowered Jack

Finally got my jack. Cancelled my back-order with MALZ.. Couldn't be bothered waiting for them to get in. Spotted one of the COVS imported CGL/Kromex brand of jacks at @sirus 's work the other day. That jack fit under my car perfectly.
Apparently COVS parts has stopped making/distributing them in and are getting the "Kromex" brand. Strange thing is, it still says "CGL" on the foam protective support on the handle.

Lowered height: 63mm Raised height: 500mm
3-4 pumps to each maximum height.

Anyways.. some pics

The lift section of the jack is long enough to jack up the center support of the front of the car. No more having to jack up one corner, then the other, then the rear.

Luckily, the jack JUST fits(for my car's height). Any lower and I'd have to drive up onto a thick rubber mat/planks of wood.

Oh, just better materials used in the 4000's
Also, the REAR Rotors from DBA are released already.
I'll have to put an order through.

Side Vent/Garnish/Scuddle

Part Number(s) for Side Vents:
SU 00303112
SU 00303120

$165(inc GST) for EACH vent.. $330 for both. Apparently these are UNPAINTED, so thinking of going for one of the Seibon CF vents.

Prices(including GST and Freight)

Nah! Didn't have to take off the front bumper

Makes the install SOOOO MUCH easier. But you REQUIRE a HOIST. You could probably do it with jackstands I suppose... it certainly is do-able.

I didn't install the horns though :/ I'm not that electrically experienced

But if you look under your car there is about 9 plastic clips that can be undone, and about 4 screws. Maybe more clips..
The bottom panels I am talking about are the black ones.

^^ The panel which can be removed is the VERY LEFT one. Bottom panel is bigger.. the panel above it is slightly smaller and secured by 4 metal screws(iirc from memory)

EDIT: Found a pic of the black plastic panel(from Houston86 FB page)

MUCH EASIER just to remove that panel.

As a reminder for me(my XLS 86 log)

Also ordered the Seibon FR-Style vents from Sean @ VIVID Racing last night. Very nice price. Emailed him, he sent a paypal request. Paid via PayPal. Gotta love ordering parts off the net.

Also ordered HKS OB-Link module from Bruce @ HKS Australia.

Ordered some RED LED Strip lights to make a third brake light. Bentley Continetal GT style.. but not as gay. I wanna do something similar to the below pic - and get rid of the gay third brake light.

Going to try a variety of LED strips to see how they look. They are fairly cheap $10-15 each.

DBA Rear Rotors arrived! :D

Thanks to @86drift.com for the DBA rotors.
1st 86 in Perth with DBA CS 4K T3 rotors all round :P - well, that I know of anyway...

Some piccies.

Too damn hot to install them lately, I will install them sometime next week.
At the same time I will most probably FINALLY install the TRD Blues(Front) brake pads, and get the brake fluid fully flushed and put MOTUL DOT 5.1 in it.
