250 dude? That's crazy.

Carter Subaru is awesome btw, quick, friendly and knowledgable.

GPS is working great so far! Don't even notice the ECM update.
How long did that take? Did they make you demonstrate the GPS issue before they would fix it? I bought my car there, and would take it there fore these services if it's not too much of a pain (I live in the south end of Seattle, so it's not too convenient). My GPS issue is hit and miss - sometimes it works fine, sometimes not at all.

Probably about 2 hours, but they did quite a few things. Didn't have to demo the GPS, they knew about the poor GPS placement, but they did ask questions about the nature of the problems.

Definitely go to Shoreline Carter, I was lucky and did a walk-in, but I had ongoing scheduling with them.

Carter also has free wifi, treats and coffee!

I think it's the same amount of chirping...my car is mostly moving at highway speeds so I'm not worrying about the chirp right now...it's inevitable it'll be a future recall/flash so I'm just holding out, especially since we know what it is, not like it's a loose belt or something in crisis.

Dropped my car off this morning for the Recall, GPS Fix, Crickets and Rear Deck Popping sound... I talked with the tech and he came out to listen to the crickets and he remembered my name since I took my WRX there for recalls... and he was honest and straight forward with me, saying they are still learning about the BRZ's and he'll pull up all the TSB's and check everything out, but they most likely don't have the parts and will have to get them and just to be patient. So I'm guessing the recall is the only thing that will get done today and I'll have to go back for the rest.

I had the recall work done yesterday afternoon. Didn't notice any difference on the drive home aside from the idle. Idle was still at 600 and not 750 as others have mentioned. Actually noticed a bit of a fluctuation/dip at a few red lights where it dipped to 500 then back up to 600 on a 5-10 second interval.

After a day or two, I noticed mine dropped to 600 when I have no AC on. With AC it was about 650 to 700. I haven't really noticed it dropping to 500 yet. I'll give the ECU a couple more days to learn.

Only once, about a week ago, did it idle like it did last night. I'm not overly concerned, just found it odd that most had their idle rise while I experience the opposite.

Dropped my car off at the dealership for the recall and tail light condensation only to receive a call later telling me the ECM crashed...and now my car is dead on their lot. Anyone run into this issue? any reason why it would crash? Perhaps a mistake the dealership made?

They did place an order for the new ECM which will have the update when it comes in...
