Just a normal helmet makes my head sweat like crazy when I bike. Not to mention, bringing around a full face helmet is pretty awkward.

Oh and @Allch Chcar's comment on "modest hp": Would insurance companies notice if the manufacturer's stated "hp" was actually at the wheels with all the accessories on? LOL
No , they don't measure HP nor do they charge more for a modified car unless you actually expect them to insure said mods.

But a dealer might reject a warranty claim because of your bolt-on turbo/supercharger setup though.

Cheapest why? Because it covers the bike and not the rider. If the rider gets hurt its all on health insurance. Your bike will fixed; however your body? Good luck unless you work for a company or have really good health insurance.

I know this because my friend completely totaled his bike on Angel's Crest about a month back. Flipped 4 times, hits the side of a mountain, falls into a 15 ft ditch and lands on the a boulder. His bike was unrecognizable. However he got reimbursed for his bike from his auto insurance company.

Awesome rates on Motorcycles.. but literally.. only the motorcycle. Lol

Motorcycles are awesome for transportation.

Until it rains, snows, or you have to haul something that won't fit in your backpack or saddle bags.

When I was in H/S, some of the richer schools like Torrey Pines, Mt Carmel, Scripps Ranch had nice cars in the student parking lots; MKIV Supras, E36 M3's, Land Cruisers, GS300/400's etc.

At my h/s I remember one sophmore kid drove his brand new black '95 MR2 turbo. At the end of the day, it was all swirled up with key marks. I'll never forget that b/c he was cool and didn't boast or brag. It's just haters gonna hate!

I know State Farm covers your gear where as the others don't. I know AAA doesn't even cover your helmet and since its on your body, same with your gloves, jacket, suit, boots etc. In those cases, you'll have to file a claim under your home insurance policy.

Still doesn't even compare to RRnold's $495 a year quote for 250k/500k. I'll have to research Wawanesa... Apparently they are a Canadian Company and only offer insurance in Cali and Oregon.
You guys will get there in due time, either when majority of you hit 25, have 15+ of driving experience and have a clean record. As i mentioned before, my teenage and young adult drive record was far from clean.

When I was on the 7 yr probation from 1998-2005 due to the Speed Contest, seeing my insurance bill every month pissed me off. To add salt to the wound, I had my R1 and it was tough even finding someone to insure me b/c I was high risk w/a lot of points on my record.

Once I got my truck, sold my R1 for a 600 and got my speed fix on the track, within time, my record was clear and I was able to get in with Wawanesa.

^ +1! Unless most of you are metro, there isn't anything wrong with getting a little down and dirty!

Gonna check out Wawanesa. How's the coverage and customer service RRnold? Its awesome that it's inexpensive but sketchy about cheap insurance.

On their website it says Oregon n California with an office here in San Diego. I thought they were nationwide so my bad. At least with the expensive costs of living here in CA, it's good to know that you can still get a great deal and save $.

They are far from a sketch and cheap insurance provider like Fred Loya, The General, etc.

Here are some reviews.

It's funny to read the comments about people bitching and complaining! Some of those people have a stick up their ass, b/c their customer service is not that bad. I've dealt with worse with AAA and my GAP provider when I crashed my bikes and when 2 of them were stolen.

I'm currently dealing with the claims on my truck (this hispanic chick w/out a CA D.L, couldn't speak english, was driving her bf's car so didn't have the registration or proof of insurance) and they have been prompt in dealing with the claim. I have 4 yrs to get it fixed, cut me a check for the initial estimate but the body shop will deal with them directly for additional damages.

I seriously hate Progressive. I had to threaten legal action to get them to cover flood damage to a car when it was clearly covered by my policy.

I'd be soooooooo pissed if someone did that to my brand new car. Oh wait. Someone did to my yaris, but instead of key marks it was with a fking nail. Lo and behold I found out who it was. My little sister. Alll because I kicked out her drug addicted boyfriend from the house. Lol... I still haven't gotten it repainted. :l Since I'll be getting a new car.. and still figuring out the cheapest way to get it fixed.

And if you say that Wasa-- (I can't spell it without copy and pasting) is like that. I'll give it a try once I sell the yaris. Do you HAVE to be 25 to get that ridiculous low rate or is that just out of sheer coincidence?

yeah. I've had bad luck with insurance companies shafting me. Before the flood fiasco with Progressive, I was in the middle of a 4 car pile up. I was hit from behind and pushed into the car in front. I had to have one of the lawyers I worked with call the insurance company handling the claim on my car just so I could get my car out of the impound, and I still had to settle for less than the cost to fix the damage. So when I got T-boned last year by an old lady who was coming out of an apartment complex and trying to force her way across heavy traffic, I just called a lawyer and let him handle the case.
