So glad I went through this thread again, guess what I found in my glove box under the window sticker. Just put them in, thankfully the car has not seen rain since I got it on Friday.

Plugs came in today, but I've had a bit of difficulty installing them. It might just be the angle I'm having to do it at, but any tips from someone who's installed the circular plugs?

Parts tech did it for me at the dealership. He had to push pretty hard, and I'm pretty sure he was pressing down on the center of the plug at the same time.

Yes sir. You shouldn't have to buy it either...They should of been on the car when you left that lot...

Chances are, they might have a stash of it in the back somewhere not knowing what to do with them... Unless they threw it all away.

Thanks you guys for doing the homework on this. I haven't received my car yet, but would be quite pissed off driving in the Great Pacific Northwet with a leaky car. I have ordered a few plugs ahead of time, expecting the car to come without them and the dealer to be clueless.

I installed mine last weekend and it was a bit of a challenge. I put part of it in the side next to the fender then pushed inward on the plug with 4 fingers and it finally slipped in. It ain't coming out now.

My rear window fogged up every time I drove the car. And to some extent the front window. I was getting a good amount of moisture in the cabin when it was rather damp outside. I went out and bought a couple of rubber gromits from an auto parts store, slapped them in and went for a drive in the pouring rain.

I didn't have to use my rear defroster at all and only had to pop on the front defroster once.

If it's really true that water is getting into the car this way, and that water can collect on top of the strut mount like that, I could see this being a huge problem down the road. If road salt gets constantly stuck up there year after year then I could see the shock towers rusting out over time.
