I have a few:

1. Is there a plan to fix the seat belt loop? Everytime I autocross my seatbelt pops the loop off and the belt whacks me in the neck.

2. When is there a planned fix for the high pressure fuel pump issue? The current path is to replace the pump with the same pump which doesn't work.

3. Are there any plans to change the gearing in the MT? 1st gear tends to be all but useless given the little torque the engine has.

Here in Germany we can get the GT-86 CS-V3 for 38.500 € excluding tax. But it is not street legal, a ture FIA approved race car. I wish to know if any track ready but street legal GT-86, in the likes of 911 GT3 RS, M3 GTS, Mégane RS R26.R is in the plans or a possibility. I wished to modify a base GT-86, but I have no time, and now no space, thus my interest in a car that is ready from factory. I think quite many would prefere getting a ready one that building their own.

Thanks. I appreciate your effort and Tada-San close openess to the GT-86/BRZ fans, unlike BMW.
That might be do w Toyota UK Marketing department area, but I'll put em on the list for sure

I'm asking if the designers could bump the price up by $5k what would they add to increase performance of the car. To Tada. I know the designers don't make the price but they are given parameters about what the cost to build/ price of the car will be.

Hm... I think, I know this answer, but I'll put it in the list. Along w this quote:

Words straight from Tada-san, at personal request and wish of Akio Toyoda himself!

This in response to "What changes would you have made to the FT86 if you had a choice on this..."

Response: "Nothing at the time, as it wasn't going to be put on the market until we were completely 100% satisfied, and unlike other products, this one had no deadline for launch aside from when it was good and ready"

I find that hard to believe. I think there is always room for improvements, especially on a budget car. Example would be use more lightweight materials.

Are there any adverse effects of putting a light weight crank pulley and a lightened 9-11lb flywheel on the FA20 from an engineering standpoint? I've been itching to get both but it's still speculation if damage can occur with adding these two things on.

Will there be a performance model of the 86 that is comparable to honda's Type R marquee like the integra Type R and the S2000 Type CR?

(No boost, just removing more things that aren't as necessary on a course, ie sound deadening, reducing windshield thickness, more seam welds, more aggressively tuned engine, lighter exhaust, lighter crashbar materials etc).

There are just so many more things that I want to ask.

I do agree, & they're currently working on it (both on track & road), but from the sound of it, they're not really looking into engine power increase, but other components.

If you're friend with MotoP on FB, you'll always see/read decent amount of 86 information/updates

Search "Moto" and you should be able to find him

Yay~ :happy0180:
He is extreme example to clarify even more.

GM says to designers make a sports car. "We'll sell it for $20k."
Then they tell the same designers make another sports car. "We'll sell it for $50k."

Each car would be different.

Scion really needs to change their strategy with this car. They need to realize that this isn't their typical Podunk car that they can just throw plastic bits at and slam to the ground and call it cool for the kids. This is a true Toyota sports car that needs to be respected!
damnit, stop making me go off topic!

I would almost like to see Scion not do a RS with this model, simply because it is so totally different from their previous cars. But if they did, there aren't a whole lot of options they can add before it goes completely out of the price point.

So what would you suggest for an RS series besides a unique color? (which would probably be the light blue that Subbie has)

Tbh....that is the only color on this car that would make me This isn't the 90s, friends.

For the record, the color question isn't for Tada-san or Scion. But I would be interested to ask Scion what is on the table for a RS difference-wise, if they are considering one. More a teaser than anything else to know at this point.
