I got the 16" from tirerack as well and my dealer's first impression was that it wouldn't fit, but we opened one rim to test it and it was a perfect it.

Yeah, we took these Waggin Train dog treats that are made in China back after half were gone and no questions asked. One of my clients saw I had a bag of them and they were like, ugh... Those treats are apparently responsible for a bunch of sick/dead dogs. So I looked into it, and sure enough... Wish Costco would take them off their shelves. But, oops, kind of sidetracked there I guess.
Went back to Costco last night because you're supposed to get your wheels checked after 40-60KM again. You don't need to book an appointment. You just pull up to their doors, they come to check that all 4 are on good and then you are on your way again. Took like 2-3 minutes max. |

X40867T/Hankook iPike w409
Just got the 16" OEM hubcentrics (X40867) from JRP in Mississauga yesterday with Hankook iPike409 in 205/55/16.
Andrew was great in doing the install and the tires were already mounted on the rims so the whole process took about 20mins. Good conversations too! The rims are X40867T - not so sure they are Subaru OEMs but they have been primed and painted black (Krylon paint) from the original silver so I'm good with them. He mentioned that they were port take offs that were provided to them from their distributor. They are hubcentric and fit well. So far the wheels and tires are performing well - no vibrations and some regular winter tire noise. I will say though that the car is definitely more floaty mostly because of the winter Hankook iPikes. Waiting for the snow now! But wouldn't you know it'll be 5 to 13C this week with just rain ![]() ![]()

Hey guys,
I picked up a set of Evergreen EW 66 H rated in the stock size 215/47/17. $85 each. Here's the link. http://toronto.kijiji.ca/c-cars-vehi...AdIdZ425981535 No complaints. They drive smooth. No road noise. No balancing issues. Haven't had any snow to test them on yet but i'll come back with a full review on snow and ice. So far on wet and dry they are performing as expected for a winter tire. |

Finally got my winters installed today. For a set of 205/55R/16 Pierelli Winter 210 Sottozero Series 2 91H and the Moda wheels it came out to $1210 all-in. With the rebate it will be $1150.
Purchased and installed by Tires 23 in Mississauga. They ordered the wheels that I wanted after we corresponded through email since I wasn't near their area. Saved me a trip from having to drive out there and visit them, which was awesome. It took about 8 business days for them to arrive (yesterday) and I setup the appointment to have them installed today at 6pm. I was out the door by 6:15 lol. Pretty insane and these guys are efficient as hell. Their customer service is really good and everything about this purchase experience was amazing. I will definitely buy from them again. I looked at as many places as I could and I think this was the best deal possible. Some of the places in the GTA quoted me around $1400 with alloys that were really plain and that I didn't like. The quote Tirerack gave me for my package was only around $80 cheaper (already including exchange rate and paying full taxes at border) if I had driven across the border and had them installed there. Once you factor in the time it takes to drive + gas + any line-ups to cross the border, I don't think it would have been worth it at all. Below are the pictures I took when I got home. Sorry my car is dirty as hell because of the snow we got on Friday ... I am ashamed! ![]()

Im looking to order winter tires and wheels from either tiretrends or 1010tires.com as I take the car in a few weeks and the only thing I am unsure of is offset. Entering the car info should give the right choices but Im getting 40 for the one im looking at. Is there an acceptable range? I do not know much about what the offset of our cars should be. Does it vary from size? is our bolt pattern 5/100 or 5/114.3?

Check out the info here and use the offset calculator at 1010tires.com to see how how different offset wheels actually will fit. I used 1010 and service was great. Tires showed up and all I had to do was put them on the car! cheers Last edited by smbrm; 12-07-2012 at 01:44 PM. |
