I dont think people are giving the engineers enough credit in the initial design phase. Everything I have read about this car it seems there were strict design factors that needed to be adhered to. The whole idea behind this car was to get enthusiast involved so they could do what they wanted to do to improve the vehicle to their liking. I am sure they knew people were going to slap on forced induction kits and most likely were tested with kits during the initial design phase. IMHO I think it would of been more dissapointing if the engine werent able to hold-up to strict demands the public expected from this car.

Very impressed with GTX turbos. A 2867 might be more responsive for a street machine, providing a broader, flatter torque curve.
I am so impressed with the stock motor holding this much power. How many miles at this power level? |

Not much. The smaller stage 1 turbo was put back on. I think its been sitting around 280-350whp at the moment. Not sure how much they are driving it right now. Last time I was up there it was torn apart getting more fab work done.
