Mmm a nice naturally aspirated fuel injected LSx in a not-so-big size (3-4liters?) Would make the FRS go and sound perfect!

3rd on that LSx
They are pretty light and compact for a big displacement engine.

^ Unique and $$$ AND complicated too! BMW Electrical components =
![]() I'd rather get a cheaper, more reliable, and simpler LSx that i could go down to my nearest Advanced Autoparts or whatever to get a part if something breaks. Seriously i see no downside :happy0180: |

How about a custom built V8 Hayabusa engine? (2 x inline 4 bike engines build onto a common crank)
i.e. http://www.h1v8.com/page/page/1562069.htm |

For me it will be stock engine, maybe engine kit from Crossworth if there comes one when used as DD. When it gets TC conversion, I would swap the Turbo 1.6l H4 from the coming WRX STI with antilag from WRC.

I see you guys want 300-400 hp in this car. Thats too much for me but the engine from the '10 WRX would be my choice. 265hp/243tq in a RWD,2750 lb car is what I would love!!!

Not a bad power to weight ratio right there and beautiful torque numbers, that'd be a ball in this car.

You are welcome! Yeah sure, I'd love 350hp in this car but I don't see that being practical. I want this car for everyday use and I drive pretty far to work and graduate classes and need something that wont rape me at the pump. I mean, at those numbers it's goit a better power/weight and torque/weight ratios than G37, IS350, 335i, the list goes on and on. Not to mention it's going to handle better as well. With that power, I think the toughest part will be keeping the car gripped and down on the road. My concern is winter time here in CT lol

Id like to see an FB20/25 Frankenstein
In the latest News the head engineer said that they would be placing a variant ob the fb20 series engine into the ft-86. That engine has the exact same bore pitch as the FB25. With the ds-4 Head from the FB20 and the Fb25 short block could create a killer combo. Tuned correctly I believe an engine like that could pump out 280 streetable horses easily. Think about it, the ds-4 direct/port injection mixed with some itb's, ecu, Header, and a catback exhaust would be a killer engine.
