Just for clarity's sake, the kit does not come with a 50/50 BOV just a BPV that does not vent to ATM.

My bad lmao. Just saw that it was an optional part, deffinitely going to be getting then because I like the BOV sound, just not overly exagerated.. becauseRacecar

Tell me more about them. (genuinely interested, not trolling)

EDIT: the only problem I could find is when the BOV is between the MAF sensor and throttle body. This BOV will be placed before, so the MAF will not account for air bled off and will not enrich the mixture.
I hear that 50/50 is just the worst of both worlds, either stick with what would be a stock BPV or go full BOV, this is from wrx and sti owners. If I am going to do it, i'll just go big or go home haha

I read through this FAQ in NASIOC about BOV's and only found that the problem with 50/50 is when it is between the MAF sensor and throttle body. This BOV will be placed before the MAF sensor, which will prevent the issues casued by placing it between the MAF and throttle.

I didnt have experience in using\hearing AVO BOVs

anyone with real story pls?

I just loved my Tial Sport 50mm BOV whoooshing air from Garett GT35R (APS TSR70)... that was a SOUND! Unmistakable, loud, steppish ... wwwhhhhoosh-wwhhoosh-whoosh-wosh-sh-sh-shhh... on my Forester ... good times

I wonder how such a BOV could be mounted to this kit? We need some aluminum parts instead of silicone imo... Paul?

It has already been stated that AVO has no intentions to make an aluminum piping option for this kit instead of the silicone.

I don't think you'd need to replace the silicone. There are steels piping aspects to this kit where the BOV would go, as stated you can use virtually any BOV with this kit.

I can see the silicone coupler is coming lower the throttle body tube with an optional AVO 50\50 BOV

I wonder how exactly this connection part is looking. Any better shots?

Cut a piece of the silicone out, slide an aluminum straight in there with two clamp attached, weld BOV flange to that.

Easy solution.

I think the optional avo bov kit is just a charge pipe that will accept any bov u want to run.

A BOV will become necessary if you run the turbo hard enough and start to get surge, then you will need one to bleed off excess boost so you don't hurt anything.
