yes, congrats on the new car! now go set the shift buzzer to 4000 RPM and good luck getting through the first 1000 miles ... takes some patience but you've already proven you have the endurance to wait for good things to come.

Thanks guys. The only thing left is to get it registered of which the timing and process is a bit confusing to me. Someone said there is a window of 10 days but then someone else said the dealer did not send out the docs until two weeks later. Another said the temp license is good for 60 days. There are also some who said the dealer send theirs directly to DMV while others got the docs as well as the paid sales tax check from the dealer to be brought into DMV. I guess I'll chase down the sales and finance guy tomorrow.

haha that is ALL true. Best to check with your sales/finance guys as each dealer does things differently.

Congrats! I think you can agree the most difficult part is to commit go out of state. Once decided, the waiting is another hard part. Now the car is with you and the rest of the paperwork is just easy.

Since you're in Calif also, one thing to look out for is whether they shipped your car with all-season Bridgestones instead of the Michelin Primacy as some of the folks have reported now that winter is upon us. I was concerned since I'm in Socal and my car was from Colo, so I ran to the garage to check and my fears allayed. I'm not sure what the dealer can do about it though. |

joining this club tomorrow. thanks for collecting all of this information in one place for the guys to come. picking up a brz from all the way out in connecticut. car's sale price is absolutely unbeatable. even with shipping fees, ca tax/smog/reg, it will be far less expensive than picking one up in ca. i'll post up more details once the deal is finalized.
you guys need to expand the club from CO>CA now that so many of us are scooping from other states. maybe just >CA now. |

Fellow CO>CA owner here, quick question... a buddy of mine is interested in a BRZ (not FR-S lol). What are you guys noticing in terms of markups out there right now?
I thought markups would have calmed down since I bought mine in July but seems like they have not? |

![]() I know there is a WRB limited 6mt at North Reading Subaru in MA for $1000 under msrp, shipping quotes I got were 1,000-1,800 for open trailer. There is also about to be a WRB limited 6mt at Heuburger in CO I had reserved but have to cancel because I found another car. Call Eric Wass, he's a really straight forward guy and is happy to update you whenever you'd like as well as explain the whole process. PM me for his contact info as I'm sure he'd enjoy reserving the car scheduled to arrive Dec 17th. |

Cars right now have the Bridgestones on them. I picked up mine in SoCal and it had the Bridgestones. IIRC, the decision to use all-seasons is made at the factory. Someone posted earlier about the Michelin vs. Bridgestone with respect to seasonal changes in another post about the OEM tire selection. Eric G |

Transport
For folks looking for a shipper, take a look at http://www.transportreviews.com/. I only discovered it after the fact. As it turned out, Alan at Goldwing Auto Carriers found me a great shipper (UZ) that did a great job, on time and no drama.
