Largest Amp Possible Under Seats

What are the dimensions under the frs seats? Trying to figure out the largest size I can fit without taking off the seat to find out myself

I can't even fit my hand under the seats to check for stuff that falls down. I mounted my 5 channel amp under the trunk carpet panel.

There's only about 1 inch of height without modifying (cutting) the carpet ...the height is the biggest problem with under the seat mounting.

The amps I am considering are about 2 1/8 inches. I really want to put it there so I don't have to run as long of a power wire.

So, if I cut the carpet, would a 2.5 inch amp work? I have no problem cutting shit up under the seat... no one sees it anyways!

The jl 500/1 is:

Width (inches) 7-7/8
Height (inches) 2-1/8
Depth (inches) 7-11/16

Also, the amp is going to be at 4 ohms with 250-300 watts rms and it's class D so it shouldn't overheat under the seat.

Do you mean next to the spare tire? Or to the sides by the jack/tools?

I'll check next time I'm back there. Worse comes to worse, I'll run it to the back

Has anyone seen these amps? I was told they sound great and are powerful for their size.

I fit a Alpine PDX-v9 under the passenger seat. 2" height. Had to cut out the foam under the carpet and raise the rear of the seat a bit.

Not tiny, but not OJ simpson xx-large lol.

There's about 3-4 inches of space, so a 2 inch amp will definitely fit. Any ideas of what can hold the amp in the foam under the seat? I'm thinking some kind of anchor like a drywall anchor.

Did you mount it rightside up to the floor? How did you raise the rear of the seat?

Kicker :/

I'm also not getting a large box. I have the JL 8" microsub, so an amp wouldn't fit on that.
