LMAO... that's crazy. I can't imagine driving and my window/door starts on fire.

My moms f150 had a recall last year for the steering wheel turn signals causing a fire too. I was pretty worried after that one!

No fires yet, just smoke. Something about not enough grease in the assembly.

It doesn't affect the FR-S because they are recalling models between 2005 and 2010.

EDIT: I need to read the article first next time. Apparently a few small fires have been reported after people tried to fix it themselves.

Only thing I've read is the rough idle issue that can be taken care of at your dealership...they just have to flash the ECU

Correct, and this isn't even a TSB yet, just a known issue. No recall.

I thought the window issue was a Honda CRV thing.

The recall is about the notchy/sticky feel and repairing it. The smoke/fire issue happens when someone tries to "fix" the problem by spraying lubricant in there, that shouldn't be sprayed in there.

If the vehicle isn't touched, there's no risk of fire, it's only once people start putting random chemicals into the switch that there is then a risk.
