Its about the size of a quarter and obvious it was a blue car and a door ding because the dent has a crisp stop on the right side likea door was opened into my car. Unfortunatly it didnt happen in this parking lot because I was parked next to a planter on the passenger side. And honestly i dont know when it could have happened since i dont go onto my passenger side. At work i park in the back, at home i park in the garage (except during lunch) which could have happened then but I cant prove anything. I contacted my dealer to see what they can hook me up with and I guess they have a dent person that can work on it who charges about 40-80 for small dents, and then im assuming a tad more for paint work which is what I know I will need. I figure I will go this route before heading to an auto body mainly because its a DD and I need to be able to have the turnaround be one day.

Dammit I am just so pissed because the car only has 1500 miles, and people do not care about others stuff.
fortunately,or unfortunately, depending upon your point of view,MOST people
are considerate of others, but it still doesn't lessen the pain to get YOUR property damaged, however a**holes are found everywhere, and what's worse
"cameras" are usually unavailable, and,of course, the f**kheads that do this sort of stuff KNOW that!

This happened to my mum's impreza, on my soarer. I'm dreading parking in public when I get my 86.

Maybe wrap my car in bubble freaking wrap when i park at shopping malls haha (or just take my corolla :p )
i know it's tough, but ya gotta remember,it's a car,and sooner or later,s**ts gonna happen.you can liken it to an "event phsycological" as the french so eloquently proclaim!.my feeling is,if ya can get by the first ding,or two,you are home free, and you won't worry as much!..just sayin'

I had the same thing happen to me a week ago on my front passengers side fender. About the size of a quarter too. Its a terrible feeling, especially two days after some asshole pushed their shopping cart into my car's bumper and left a large scratch. Terrible week for me.

Proves that it doesn't matter where you park... If people want to hit your car, they will.

This is why I purchased the repair program from the dealer. Any dent, scratch, windshield chip or crack fixed free of charge as long as its under 6 inches. Only ran me $400. I hope to never have to use it, but its great to have in case this happens!

I think my dealer had the same offer...i think they called it trident. It sounded like opti coating on the outside and then something on the inside that basically covered everything. I think they were charging like 700 though.

Start with detailing...especially if there are no rough edges...rubbing compound and work your way toward waxing that panel...if you're inexperienced you may want to look for a professional detailer in your area.

I promise you this cannot be buffed out. It is a legit dent. Even if i could removed the scuff (which I am sure I can) the dent would still be there. so i would rather just have the dent guy take care of it all, that way they cant say that i tried something and messed up.

First night (no more 2 hours of owning the car) I park under an oak tree. A nut falls and dings my hood. Gah what a terrible feeling!

Either that or kids just swing doors open and parents dont care. I see it all the time and my GF really urges me to bite my tongue because I will say something when they hit something.

It probably doesnt help i have a intimidating figure at 6 foot 270lbs and mainly muscle.

I would say something...

I waited in a wal mart parking lot once preventing a woman in a mini-van from driving away after watching her hit a Mercedes SLK, my wife went inside to page the owner, when the guy came out I told him the story and he thanked us. The woman confessed luckily, her english wasn't too good so I was thinking either she wasn't insured or maybe they don't have responsibility in her world...sigh...
