I hate inconsiderate others!!
 

So I was out shopping with the girlfriend this weekend and everywhere I go I park in back. Not like an idiot on an angle or taking up two spots, just in back far from everyone. Well anyways we are walking out from the store and my passenger's side is faceing me. As we walk closer I look and I say to my self no way is this possible. I get up to the car and find this.

Its about the size of a quarter and obvious it was a blue car and a door ding because the dent has a crisp stop on the right side likea door was opened into my car. Unfortunatly it didnt happen in this parking lot because I was parked next to a planter on the passenger side. And honestly i dont know when it could have happened since i dont go onto my passenger side. At work i park in the back, at home i park in the garage (except during lunch) which could have happened then but I cant prove anything. I contacted my dealer to see what they can hook me up with and I guess they have a dent person that can work on it who charges about 40-80 for small dents, and then im assuming a tad more for paint work which is what I know I will need. I figure I will go this route before heading to an auto body mainly because its a DD and I need to be able to have the turnaround be one day.

Dammit I am just so pissed because the car only has 1500 miles, and people do not care about others stuff.

That sucks. It makes it even worse that you don't know when it happened. I will probably flip shit if I ever find a door ding, inconsiderate people piss me off.

man i hate those kinda of people that don't care. sucks even you parked at the very back to avoid those kind of incidents too...

This happened to my mum's impreza, on my soarer. I'm dreading parking in public when I get my 86.

Maybe wrap my car in bubble freaking wrap when i park at shopping malls haha (or just take my corolla :p )

Yeah i think from now on we are taking my girlfriends car. Mine will go to work and come home and sit in the garage.

Mine was rear-ended with less than 4000km/2500mi on it in the 7th week of ownership. Thankfully the damage is cosmetic - now I find myself driving it like I stole it so people won't see the back!

Sorry to hear it. I was just backed into on Friday for my first ding. I was standing outside the car and watched it as if it was slow motion. It's an awful feeling.

My 370 got a huge door ding the first week I had it. Only 80 miles on it. My tC also got a door ding the first week. I've never parked the same since.

At least a paint free dent repair and a good touch up an its gone. Total cost maybe ~$100 ish.

I got a nick on the edge of my plastic rear bumper. Lucky it's a black car.

Yeah i get to hopefully get it fixed Wed. So I only have to drive it like this for a couple days.
