Makes sense. I'll buy it. It goes to show that the OEM makes the car with a slight amount of "play" or area that could see improvement. Be it only 15mm to them.

Is anybody running these yet?? I would like to run something that won't void my warranty and dealership said they will warranty anything from STi/SPT.

@switchlanez has em.

I don't really know what would break though if you went with an aftermarket set of springs vs these? What are you worried about?

I'm not worried in the least that something will break related to aftermarket springs. I'm more worried about BS dealerships trying to void a warranty for something totally unrelated to springs.

I will ping that forum member. Thanks!

Depending on your dealer these may not be an option. There were a large number of 08 struts being borked, due to being soft and the springs not playing well, and the dealers not covering the damage. Talk to your service manager first, and if you can get something in writing.

Yep, I agree, it would definitely vary dealer by dealer.

The service manager I talked to seemed to think SPT/STi/Subaru springs would not affect the warranty whatsoever. I since have kinda gotten past my apprehension. I know that worst case if I put on springs, STi or aftermarket, that the worst thing that will happen is the strut would go bad at some point. If that happens, most likely it would be after warranty is up anyway (especially for me - I only put on 5-6K miles a year on a car). At that point I would just get whatever coilovers met my need. For now, I ended up getting Eibach Pro springs.
