That just confirms what Top Gear (UK) has been saying for the last few years;

"Its official, the cocks have gone from driving BMWs to Audis!"

Not to stir up a hornets nest but i think they should be asking Subaru owners what it's lke to be driving Toyotas considering that Toyota owns 16.7% of Fuji Heavy Industries....which just happens to be Subarus parent company.

In 2007 "CEO of Subaru Ikuo Mori admitted that his company would likely cease to exist without the aid of Toyota".

I think more Audis and VWs come from the same Check Engine Light factory.

The 325ci I traded in for my FRS came from that factory as well.

I would have said "I'm sorry, this is a frs, I'm sorry you didn't catch the differences between this car and a brz. Guess these are still pretty rare"

Would it be fair to say props to Toyota for the vision and Subaru for the engineering/implementation of Toyota's vision?

I really like Subaru and my last car was a Subaru (WRX). I was initially looking at getting the BRZ because the car and dealer have been good to me but when I went in they basically told me there wasn't much they could do so I have an FR-S on order. But I was thinking about rebadging with Subaru badges but didn't want to invite the wrath that might cause, but this idea I really like. I think I might leave the front Scion emblem as that one sounds like it is more of a pain in the ass to remove anyways and replace the rear scion badge with a subaru one. Good idea though and thanks for sharing it.

Or have a Toybaru badge made, group buy, same size as the Scion :happy0180:

Tell you what.....I agree that Audi isn't known for rock-solid reliability. Hell, I expected to have to deal with some issues when I purchased mine. I purchased it a little more than a year ago (15 months, to be exact) and it hasn't yet given me even the slightest problem. I just think new cars are to the point now where you shouldn't expect many (or maybe I should say any) problems for at least the first few years. That's why I'm so surprised at all the check engine light stuff I read about in this forum. Hopefully it's all just teething pains and it fades away quickly.

I had some idiot in a v8 Holden commodore drive next to me the other day and yell out how under powered it was and all the other things that are standard to insult this car, he then proceeded to floor it away (and miss his shift, lol).
About 10 minutes later I over took him doing over double his speed in the mountains, him trying to get around, me not even breaking a sweat.
I did the middle finger wave past and never saw him in my rear view again.
