It won't be that bad, actually. We just hadn't anticipated demand to be that high - the March shipment will be larger than the January, we are adding more people on to the factory line for the kit.

I don't want to give a date on the 93 octane simply because I'm working with a 3rd party dyno to do the figures on. So it's a matter of new tune (with latest revisions from ecutek) + 93 (have got that sourced) + dyno schedule. Roughly? in the next two weeks.

Yes, and don't forget the startup video showing the obnoxious 15 second cold start exhaust tone.

It's laying low for the moment, the switch to 10-40 redline has minimized the issue (for us) in regular driving. I'm going to be testing long term solutions in the near future.

That means you must be making 2 versions of the overpipe to suit both LH and RH drive.
Could I purchase a RHD overpipe from you in Australia?
Contact lee@avoturbo.com for all the Australian enquiries, he will be able to answer your questions the best. AVO Australia is located in Melbourne.

wow. That post was extremely helpful.

I am going to assume that you think the "obnoxious 15 second cold start exhaust note" is somehow related to their exhaust, and don't realize that its because of the secondary air injection system thats part of emissions controls/requirements.....

I forsee some really awesome thread titles in your future. "Installed AVO turbo and now my radio doesn't work. AVO won't help." "Installed a straight pipe exhaust, now I can't hear my stereo. Company X refuses to warranty. Please help." "Flashed to new ECUTek tune and my rear tire went flat. Whats wrong with my tune?" "Lowered my car 2 days ago, now I threw a rod. I think the shop did the install wrong."

Generally speaking, its better to "assess, find cause, place blame" in that order.... But by all means go with the sensational if you prefer.

uhg...the dreaded "2 weeks"..... jk

I like how low you have kept the turbo in the engine bay...both from a standpoint of maintaining the car's low center of gravity and also for keeping the turbo as close to the exhaust ports as possible.

What grade stainless is being used?

I really think some reading would do you some good before posting something negative about a fellow board member.

Now, see, if you HAD READ the thread. You would have seen my post asking AVO if the kit quiets the exhaust down because exhausts on this car makes a really obnoxious noise on cold start.

If you had continued reading, you would have noticed me mentioning that I already have an SRT headerback exhaust.

If you had ready ANY WHERE ELSE on ft86club, you would know that I'm not just some yahoo that knows nothing about cars or the 86.

So get off your soap box and read. Or pick up some BBQ sauce, because feet don't taste very good.

Paul,

How sounds the demo car in Japan now with the overpipe, catted front pipe and the non resonated cat-back exhaust installed ?

Is it a lot louder than before ? Too much for a street use maybe ?

Why did they go catted for the front pipe for the stage 2 test ?

Dont you think it could have been even better without a cat onto the front pipe in regard to the heat dissipation and also the HP gain as well ?

Do you have any idea how much Avo will ask for the front pipe ? 300-350$

Avo should make a package price for a complete exhaust system like Perrin does for 1400$-1500$. ( Overpipe 360$ + front pipe about 350$? + cat-back 990$ = 1700$ )
