Reverse is kind of hard to get into
It feels like i have to put a lot of pressure and kind of force it into reverse. Anyone else?

Yes same here. I usually release the clutch then depress it again. Most of the time it becomes easier. Also I let it warm up.

Either let the car roll a bit or let the clutch out in neutral (as @Asphaltfrs1 mentioned) , I'm pretty sure the reverse gear does not have a synchro. Either of the above should respectively rotate the input shaft or the gear stack, which helps to line up the dog teeth and thus, engagement.

Letting it warm a bit is about the only thing that really helps. I'm glad it's staying in the garage for winter. I will definitely change the fluid in the spring. This is one cold blooded tranny.

Related to this, I just got my FR-S and the only complaint is 1st to 2nd, and 2nd to 3rd notchiness. I know others have complained about this, but just wondered if it goes away with break in. I have noticed rev matching helps, but I'm lazy and just want to shift (and I shift slowly). Other than that, can't wait to get to one thousand miles so I can let her scream.

I have no issue with it. But I always give the car a few minutes to warm up when the engine/exhaust quiets down

Mine shifts into every gear, including reverse, smooth as can be, just for contrast. I shift into reverse at least once per day to back out of the garage. Only fluid I have changed is the motor oil(To Mobile 1 0w-20) and have 4700+ miles.
My previous car was a 350z with 6-spd manual, which others complained about as well and I didn't, so I may just be used to a relatively touchy transmission or have a high tolerance.

Think there have been posts about this before in cold weather. Here in the Midwest it's been approaching freezing & reverse is just about impossible until the car warms up. I started putting it in reverse when I park in the garage and leaving it there when I start up in the morning. There may be a little more wear on the clutch this way, I don't know...

Car is stored in a garage... Where I live it might reach 40 in there at the peak of winter.

putting the clutch in and out dosn't seem to help, and letting it roll is rarely an option. i just have to force it in

Fortunately, slotting into reverse has not been an issue for myself.
Temperatures have dropped, and the overall notchiness is more present, but still not something for me to be bothered about. Solid feeling / performing transmission, thus far.
