RTFM is one of the few acroynyms I really like.

But to be fair, I don't really read the manual either. I do scan it for pertinent info and use it as a reference guide.

To make this post on topic....
After pulling my battery cable to reset my CEL/SL, I lost those settings. I just got it all set back up. I did not reference the manual though. I wanted to test my memory....

I don't read a manual, until I have a question like that. At least the site didn't get so full of why are my parking lights on threads that it got stickies (happened on nasioc, lol)

I read the manual, and I have my shift-light indicator set at 7k, tach sweep on, but how do I get the gear itself to show up? I'm driving a manual, and I feel like I'm missing something.

Well it's not there to serve a real purpose, it's just eye candy. One could say that a lot of physical aspects of a car aren't necessary.

Fair enough, but it only takes 1-1.5 seconds to go back down. Personal preference I guess, I like the added little touches in Subaru's.
