I have a PnP HID kit and it doesn't blind anyone and the cut off is fine. Maybe a small dog or a cat may get blinded at my car's height.

$300 gets you the new projector lens, bulbs, ballasts and it's all plug and play. You just have to open up the headlights to install the new lenses.
I just got mine for $225! Thank you Black Friday! Lol

It is the metal tab directly inside of the headlight that reflects light upwards. Check this thread out - it covers the general idea on how to perform the mod.

i dont get it... if someone wants to put hid's into their projector housings, what gives me the right to tell them what to use or how to do it? Honestly, they don't blind you unless their driving with their high-beams on. Seriously, people complaining about something as stupid as a headlight bulb? absurd.

i just gotta add, nobody mods their car with YOU in mind.

Bought a set of bi-xenon HID projectors last week from them for $160. Honestly, halogens blind me all the time and the only time I have ever been flashed by someone is when I am cresting a hill, you have to remember that our cars are a lot lower than most other cars on the road... but then again any type of headlight would blind when cresting a hill. Just my $.02

^^ Car height doesn't matter nearly as much as headlight height and aim.

You could be driving a car an inch from the pavement, but if the rear was lowered more than the front (even by a small amount) you'll be aiming right at the faces of oncoming drivers, even if they're in big trucks.

Pretty much no one re aims their headlights after lowering a car though, or even if they have extra weight (people) in the back. That's why they make auto leveling lights (the JDM 86 has them stock, but it's about $2500 to get all the parts to add to a north american car).

I put a PNP kit in and the cutoff is fine, nobody is blinded. I have driven behind and at friends to test it and none of them said it is an issue.

Almost anyyythhhing in our projectors is better than an asshole i n a dodge w halogens. Reflectors even oem have far more glare than hids in ours Imo. I'll be sticking w an h9 low beam until I can afford a proper rf kit. Just seems pointless to argue. Sq finder bent is negligible light above cutoff... sorry for horrid grammar my nexus is taking a dump on me...

You won't get more light output or improve visibility really.
I installed gen 3 plug in HID kit H11 - 6000k advertised on ebay for my car in my FRS. I didn't need to bend anything? Instantly noticed way more illumination being put down on the road. The projection field was slightly wider than stock and the vertical line was perfect. It visibly cuts off just below the oncoming car windows.

I hate cars that have the blinding head lights so I had my friend do a drive by several times in his corvette to check for over glare. He said the glare was not anything he would note as "blinding him" and the diamond white color looks great. I'm very happy with the Kit so far. No temp issues and no flicker and charges up to full illumination in 3 seconds.

I will admit the kit was cheap and I don't know how long the bulbs will last, but at 12$ for a replacement bulb it is not an expense i am worried about. I keep the stock bulbs in my trunk box as a back up if needed.
