True. My wife is pretty decent and especially about parking. She works on an AF Base and has scared everyone enough that she now has a dedicated parking space on the end of an aisle next to a dirt lot.

Far away from the office doors, next to those who actually care about their cars.
Also try to not be under a tree, Asphalt color is a magnet for dust/pollen plus tree sap or bird poop would ruin my day.

I park on the ramp to the third floor in our parking deck. Only people who tend to park up there are new / nice car owners who give each other a lot of space.

Far away from office door, alone by myself.
I don't trust (some) people

Sort of off topic, but related story about how people suck.
When I was in college I found that the bathrooms on the top floor of the library were often the cleanest I could find on campus for those visits where a standing position just wouldn't work. My guess was that the kind of people who trash bathrooms are lazy, and by finding the bathroom which would take the most effort to reach I'd have a higher level of confidence that the lazy people wouldn't have trashed it. This also seems to work in the case of large parking structures where if you park on the top (or uppermost) floors you'll be less likely to be crowded in with people who are lazy and more likely to ding our beautiful cars.

Even though my work has a spot for employees only about 10 feet from my door that I can usually snag, I parallel park on the street or in a back lot in front of an empty warehouse because I don't trust the neighboring company's clientele (or staff) not to ding my car.

I caught someone wanking in the 2nd floor bathroom of our school library on the first day of school at like 11 AM my junior year. Must have been a stressful morning.
Needless to say, I didn't use that particular stall for at least a couple of months.Nathan |

my bodyshop is part of the Phila Auto Mall...I park right in front of a dealer, by their brand new cars, lol... I've seen a few people look at the BRZ. Probably thought it was for sale, lol
It's actually my BRZ, and one of the mechanic's 350Z... |
