Does anyone else have issue with the TPMS when cold?
I rechecked the tire pressure and they are all at 38ish psi, but as long as it is cold the light stays on. What pressure is the system supposed to alert you? |

Sounds like you have a bad sensor. If all of your wheels are reading the same PSI, you shouldn't get a light (especially if you are anywhere in the 30's PSI range).
Are you sure your tire gauge is working properly?

I'll try another gauge.
Would this be covered by warranty? |

I have the symbol that looks like this for tire pressure blink for about a minute then stays on when i turn my car on (..!..). I read the manual it says something like if you are using non-scion tires then it will turn on. It started when i changed over to winter tires. I wonder if this is normal???? similar to people with the TPMS light when they change to winter tires.
Does anyone else have this problem? |

I'm not sure, but I may have had a similar issue. I regularly check my tire pressures (usually when I fill-up since I use the gas station air compressor) and have had it at the recommended pressure (35 psi cold I believe). One morning, I actually had to park outside (had some junk in the garage, was too lazy to put them away) and it just so happens to be one of the colder nights. The next morning, my TPMS lights came on, but I figured that it was only because of the cold and that they would turn off as it warmed up. After a couple of days, they didn't turn off so I stopped by the gas station to check, got ~32 psi at all four tires, so I topped them back off to 35, but the TPMS sensors stayed on. It actually finally turned off the next morning. Not really sure what to make of that, haven't had to park outside nor have had cold nights, so

Not on short drives. It takes a longer trip to make the light come on.

Mine came on when the temps here dropped below freezing, but went off as soon as it got warmer (upper 40's/50's).

Cold temps affect tire pressure, which causes the light to go on. Once temp warms up, light should go off.
