Maybe this an indication that FRS/BRZs are different for those sent to Canada. i.e., different names.

Weird. I don't have a BRZ yet, so I obviously can't compare a US-market example.

All the cars I've owned with displays like this have a US/Metric switch, and it's all-or-nothing - everything changes.

Also, I thought it was widely known that the measurement for fuel consumption is L/100km in countries where they use the metric system

It's also widely known that they use the lowercase letter for all measurements...

Anyway, perhaps a trip to the dealer will fix this for you.
