Wow I never thought E85 made such a difference.
I'm really looking forward to see a car with E85, the correct tune and our headers.

Yea me either..I didnt really know about e85 like that until the tune came out. Im buying an exhaust, headers, and the e85 tune by march of next year. Im hoping to hit past 200hp. Heres the graph from that dyno day on 2forme's car. just for reference on 93w/intake/exhaust/tune he hit 179..big difference with e85

We don't have E85 in Italy so we won't be able to test a similar tune on our dyno.

You should get similar results if you tune for Race Gas. E-85 is just a inexpensive, High-octane alternative. There's no real magic in it.

I think headers will be the key to making near 200whp on 93. If we can get a good set of headers to free up the top end (above 6500) and carry that torque a little longer, 200whp should be within reach.

I did over 60 dyno pulls when I did my intake reviews. There was no lying or fibbing. Hell, I even posted the dyno files themselves for people to view in WinPEP.

The car made 174 with just an SRT exhaust. That seems in line with everyone's results. Hit 180 with SRT/AFE/Tune. Hit 200 with SRT/AFE/E85/Tune. That's SAE corrected. STD made a few HP more. If you'd like the files let me know and I'll gladly send them to you because transparency.
if the intake is just as long as a cold air i dont really think we can call it a short ram.

Well whatever you call it, it most certainly isn't a cold air intake. It sucks in hot air. Hot air intake?

haha im sure if they marketed that well enough they could get someone to buy it. you obviously have more knowledge than i do regarding the matter. my only argument was that the shorter the intake and the less volume it contains allow a short ram to breathe more air as the rpms increase. one of the nice advantages of a cold air is the higher intake speeds at lower rpms but that can cause issues at the top end. i guess we have to wait and see what happens as the aftermarket evolves. im glad the cold air worked out for you and from the sounds of it, its one of the better intakes on the market. thanks for sharing your knowledge.

You're absolutely right. We are lucky with our intake placement to not need super long tubes for a CAI. It's no problem. I just want to make sure the data is out there

Ok I have to say ... people not getting that E85 (which is essentially 98 octane ((using r+m/2 aka the US standard)) at MINIMUM), will help make power on a 12.5:1 compression motor.... is uh, well surprising to say the least.
E85 is the SINGLE BIGGEST factor.

That being said, I'd be willing to bet that at sea-level on a decent temp day (55-65 degrees, not excessive humidity), a car with an intake/pulley/header/exhaust and e85 tune would make around 210whp.

Wait a minute, E85 is like 98/100 ron fuel (euro-spec)?
We do all our dyno test with 100 ron fuel...98 is reccomended even on the fuel cap here.
I dont think a tune would do much of a difference as the stock map is already able to adapt...

E85 in france is in between 105 and 110 RON depending on the season
because in winter it's more E75 ( 75 % ethanol)

plus at stochio you burn more of E85 per stroke making it give you more energy out of each stroke about 5% by itself without using the ability to advance timing because of the High Octane
