I'm already sold on the Parrot. I'm not even considering anything else.

I've currently got a Kenwood unit installed - pics on page 2 of this thread. Nice unit but I want Android.

Once I have it I will probably not care a lot for audio accessories. At least for a while.

This forum is an oasis of 86 goodness to keep my longings at bay.

I do not think I have ever been this excited in my life...

Sorry got a bit carried away there...

Is there a get carried away about your 86 Thread? :P

Awesome Forum & Thread b.t.w.

I have been waiting three months for my Red baby. Looks like the Parrot will be here at the same time as my car

Hey Guys

I recently had the Kenwood DDX630WBTM installed in my 86 along with some speakers and sub. What's nice about the Kenwood is that it fits perfectly in the slot, no spacers. I prefered the Sony Double Din units' UI, but then there would have been gaps.

Anyone in Cape Town are more than welcome to come and have a look. Just PM me.

The UI looks exactly like my Kenwood's except it's a perfect fit. FML. How much did you pay if I may ask?

Okay now I'm annoyed. The shop that installed my Kenwood sells the 630 as well but they never even bothered to tell me about it. Total cost would have been about the same. ARGH!

Thanks, it does look very good. It's depressing because it's pretty much the same as what I've paid for mine including fitment and the "special" iPod cable.

The only thing I prefer about mine is the fact that it's got a volume knob.

I also didn't know that Kenwood DDX630 existed until the installer phoned me a week before the install. I wanted to go for the Sony unit. But I was afraid the gaps on the sides will spoil it. Dunno why Toyota has a "special" double din. kinda stupied if you ask me.
