TRD Superchargers are currently produced by Magnuson in Ventura, CA
TRD Brake kits for the US market are normally produced by Stoptech in Compton, CA - Stoptech has released a BBK for the FRS/BRZ - 83.827.4700.71 (Priced under 3k MSRP) The TRD kit you are referencing is a F+R BBK that retails at 890,000 JP or yes over 10k US, but I am pretty sure it is a stop tech kit. ![]() TRD makes a lot of its own products, designed at TRD USA in Costa Mesa, CA TRD Japan or Toyota Technosquare designs & builds a lot of the hard parts you see, suspension components as well in Yokohama, JP TRD private labels a lot of parts designed by USA based manufacturers. Hope this helps! |

A good recent example is the exhaust. It's branded TRD but was developed by Borla.

Will TRD offer a a supercharger for the FRS - probably. Issue(s): when and how much? Come on, just getting the optional "factory" fog lights for the FRS in the US market is taking far too long. Don't hold your breath kiddos.

A TRD supercharger it cute with a warranty and all, but the turbo route is what really turns the motor into a powerhouse. It will be interesting to see these model deviations spark rivalry between the brands.

Ya, what's up with those fog lights? Scion can't seem to do much of anything right.

I'm interested in a TRD supercharger at some point. Sounds like TRD does the same thing Ford Racing does. Use aftermarket companies parts and slap their name on it after testing. For instance the Ford Racing supercharger for the Mustang is either an Eaton or Whipple depending on year and model.

This ^^
Also, borla has done most of their exhausts as of lateo that's why I mentioned them. As far as your picture when is the publication date on it. I believe we first saw the TRD USA exhaust back in Feb/March/April during one of the press events. |

[ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WNF9GcZfueE"]Toyota GT 86, very first presentation! - YouTube[/ame] Very few aftermarket companies (namely GReddy, HKS, and a few more) were given early access to parts development for this car and I don't recall Borla ever being on that list. Let alone those companies didn't have access til months past December 2011. Borla's stuff didn't come out til SEMA and I highly doubt their sales were held by an embargo considering their exhausts still came out before the TRD exhaust. This isn't the first time I've seen people on this forum state TRD Exhaust = Borla with no evidence to back it. This exact same misinformation has spread on other Toyota/Scion forums I've been active on through the years... sadly when a lie is repeated over and over people start accepting it as truth/fact. The video, dates, and aftermarket activity I posted makes it clear to infer that the TRD exhaust is not Borla.
