Doesn't Toyota know there isn't enough room under the hood of the car for FI? The internets said so!

I disagree. I still think a manual is more fun during a commute and even in traffic. Been driving one for years and very rarely did I ever think, "Man, I wish I had an auto right now."

LOL, what? So people with "real jobs" need automatics?

But anyway, I agree with you in your concern for gas mileage. Adding a supercharger probably wouldn't do it for me for various reasons. The only thing I'd likely consider is the KERS they're working on.

BTW, is this supercharger being built by the American division? I wonder if it'll even be checked over by the Subaru engine engineers.

So speaking of SEMA there was a point when they opened the hood of the car. Yup big empty space there as the S/C is still being developed.

Forgot who they were working with but it's the same company that is currently doing all of the TRD supercharges.

So if I were to guess I bet that the TRD kit will be around $10-15K
So what basis did you make that price guess on? The TRD kit for the tundra runs $5500, for the Tacoma / FJ its under $4000.

TRD has to comply with EPA regs (50 state legal kits), long term warranties, driveabilty and low maintenance. There is a hell of alot more R&D that goes into a TRD supercharger then some thrown together turbo kit sold on here.

No basis other than the big brake kit price...if you want to buy the TRD supercharger kit all the more power to ya. I personally just feel TRD is overpriced. But to each their own and that is just my personal opinon.

Your basis is on importing a bbk from Japan as there isn't currently US pricing. Now, that being said I believe that the sc will be in the 4-5k range.

If Toyota/Scion can fix the first generation bugs and put a "Supercharger/Turbo" in a FRS/86. I would buy one. I am willing to spend the extra $$$ for the vehicle, but I will take it out and put an aftermarket after my warranty expires.

We don't even have an official optional big brake kit in the US.

Im sure the TRD kit will be a nice kit with warranty! Most of the superchargers coming out are around like 200-230whp.

That's TRD Japan. This supercharger is TRD USA. I believe it is being made between TRD USA and a US shop
