Why didn't I think of that? Thanks!

Not sure if sarcastic...

But giving you the benefit of the doubt, cars with low rolling resistance tires usually have higher tire pressures than those without.

Nope, it wasn't sarcastic, never knew that LRR tires have higher pressures. I'll take a look. Thanks.

Anyone got the TPMS sensors from TireRack?
$250 for the whole set. It'd be nice to confirm that they actually work ok.
Are there any cheaper alternatives?

Yes I have them and they work just fine.

Just to be clear to those watching the thread: You still have to get the TPMS system programed to the new sensors' ID numbers at the dealership before they work properly.

My light still hasn't gone off for new TPMS. I recall reading it takes like 20+ miles in one trip to make them go off. Maybe I won't even bother, since most of my trips aren't that long.

Well my light finally came on after a longer trip. I had hoped it would turn off once the car was shut off, but sadly it's on till I either swap wheels again or swap IDs. /sigh. There has to be a device I can buy so I can change IDs by myself that doesn't cost an arm and a leg.

If you can get close enough to your other wheels with the old sensors, it will trigger the light to reset. It resets each morning for me after parking near the house. That might get you a little less annoyance.

ATEQ quickset. It works great, and they've updated the software now to work specifically with our cars. At $150 its not cheap but figure the cost of paying someone to change the IDs and it will probably pay for itself in a couple years.

Any chance you know the range of the sensors?

I have seen this before, but it wasn't updated. Glad to see it has been! Does it get the IDs off the ECU that are already so when summer comes, I can swap back over without getting a reader?

Well I'd say the OEM wheels are 30 yards or so from where I park my car, between a few walls and the light went off, so they do have some range to them!
