You know it's Toyota and they're going to high ball us.
I think if it's under $40k, we are doing well. Look at the Rukus vs scion. $27k vs $17k....

I also think $45k for top spec won't be out of the question.

I know you dont have to tell me how we get bent over and penetrated to pay for holden and ford protection, if they produced decent cars they would be able support themselves through their own merit not be nannied by the government.

I thought all the good recent GM projects came from Holden designs?

And the Ford Falcon looks better than any Ford sedan made in the 'States or Canada.

yes, but GM sucks. Crap sloppy built heavy cars.

The point is we get screwed on price and car laws, to protect 'American' Australian Holden and Ford. No disrespect.

An example is you guys can buy our locally built Commodore cheaper than we can!

The latest hints on pricing - http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1667

The sports car will be rear-drive with a Subaru drivetrain and will be positioned between the Impreza and Legacy, Tachimori said.
Here the base Impreza is $21.5k and the base Liberty is $33K, I will be impressed if they can deliver the car in this price bracket.

At worst though the top model NA Impreza is $28.5K and the top model NA Liberty is $45.5K.

I'll agree with you there, your ford sedans are ugly as sin, but as a trade off you get the mustang and camaro.

Could you imagine what would happen to sales of HSV and the Commodore SS etc if Holden started selling the Camaro and Ford sold the Mustang? I know I'd buy one if they started at $22k for a V6 instead of $140k V8 RHD
