I was thinking there may be some merit to locating the Rotrex on the lower half of the engine vertical plane, since it would lead to short piping on the input to the IC (close to the bumper). I don't know how belts are routed near the bottom though, and there may not be enough room. |

You dont actually need a CCW charger in many cases, you can reverse mount and use a DPK belt, just need to change all the flat back idlers to ribbed, which is easy since its a 6PK system

it does, however i assumed that most people who are tracking their cars ditch it anyway. I know i do as its just dead weight.
CAUTION OPINION TO FOLLOW: I feel this setup is more geared towards hardcore performance gains... if you want to keep your ac then you probably arent looking for maximum track performance, the other "street car kits" are more your speed. I am considering this versus a turbo setup, i have no intrest in the mess hks is stuffing under hoods, or a twin screw manifold contraption. OPINION OVER: :happy0180: |

From what I've heard, Jackson Racing said they were working on a Rotrex kit for the FRS/BRZ. Hope they will CARB the kit like they did with their CRZ kit for us living Cali.
I know you wanted to build your own kit, but at least you should be able to get some ideas sooner or later. |

With out going thru all the FI threads but does anyone know the answer to this ?
Are they all using the OEM ECU with modification/remap ? The reason why i ask is they will all be MAF correct. Well my comment is this they are all good to show you their gains with FI but i wonder how their drivability is especially at idle ? Playing around with MAF is a PITA and really hard to get right. Maybe not on this engine but the Toyota engine i have in my SW20 if you even change the OEM air box your in trouble |
