Those of us who've owned the rumbly Subarus have answered correctly.

The BRZ produces none of the sounds you are used to. Even with the intake and exhaust installed on mine, I still miss the sounds of my old WRX.

My STi has a HKS header, so I lost the rumble but I picked up more mid-range. Sounds more like a turbo Honda. Since it's under the knife for more upgrades, I've considered getting another header to get that sound I miss so much. But I'm really just trying to maximize the power curve.

I can tell you this much: you're gonna love the BRZ's handling, steering and driving position. When I drive my built STi, it feels like a 4x4 truck that's scary fast. You're going to miss the torque (unless you go FI). Also the smiles, waves and thumbs up you get from the public will brighten your day, too.

Just search BRZ UEL header on Youtube and you'll see some examples. It isn't quite as distinctive as an EJ but it's definitely there.

Thanks all for the replies! Paco i think you put it best though, i know i'll miss my STi but the BRZ should bring a whole new level of hapiness! I was just hoping it would have the rumble, i happen to like the sound a lot better. I've had friends that don't know the Subaru's and asked if it had a V6 lol. Even with the power gains i couldn't even tailor getting EL headers and killing the sound haha. Oh well i like the invidia on the BRZ so far out of the exhausts i've heard so far. Will be simple bolt ons for me for a bit

Beware that many say the Invidia is loud and drones. I can see the drone part, but the loud is far from what I would call it. I guess it's all relative to what you are used to.

The Super Sprint sounds pretty awesome. I bet it'll be expensive from the sound of it, plus the fact that its Italian. Borlas setup sounds rowdy too.

I may end up with a full Invidia setup myself since I already purchased the catback. It does fit nicely and looks great IMO. The Ti tips with the burnishing looks great on my Galaxy Blue BRZ.
