Thankfully, I only had to pay my deposit, $250, but I don't really feel a connection to the car anymore . It just feels like damaged goods to me.
Yeah, things like this can take a dump on your general feeling for a car or possession. Kind of like spending $600 for a coating job on the car only to have a car throw a gator into your front end within 3 hours. You feel like your effort, time and money have been demeaned, devalued, wasted.

The thing is, you eventually move on if you really enjoy the car and enjoy it for what it is; an awesome piece of driving machinery that should bring a grin to your face every sharp, low speed corner you take. (or even the faster ones )

In a year you'll still remember the keying, but you'll have a completely different feel for the car. You'll have had other experiences. One can hope that this is the worst you'll have to deal with so long as you own the car.

I got keyed in several places. I was able to buff out most of them. But the headlight...really the headlight? Fuck society. :[

I do. When you're a car dude/chick a vehicle that you worked your ass off for and really truly love is a serious emotional investment. It's like if a grown man punched your kid in the face. What was the point? Did they have anything to gain from it other than the feeling of being today's asshole of the day? It just leaves you pissed off; and when you've got no one to point the finger at that anger is multiplied exponentially. The joys of being keyed . It's never happened to me but if it ever does then like everyone else said I'd rather not be present for the act, I'm liable to do something regretable and stupid .

I do. No one deserves to die, but the type of trash that damages other people's property for no reason but jealousy or boredom deserve something harsh. People who do this are pathetic and likely unproductive members of society...so at least a severe beating would be appropriate.

Yeah, yeah, I get all that. I would be beyond pissed if someone vandalized my car. But you know what? I wouldn't wish for his entire family to die in front of him just because he's an inconsiderate jerkoff prick. That's all I'm trying to say....

Good luck with the situation bro, some people just suck. Good news is that can be buffed out, if you lived near me I could have probably hooked you up.

My barely two month old 86 was not keyed, it was KICKED in the left door, literally. I parked it along a spacious, well-lit and quite busy road side parking. Some ugly messy dents on the door panel. F*uck that retard. I'll try to post the picture afterwards.

Am i correct?

Stuff like this is so dissapointing to hear . Reminds me of last year some kid went through a parking lot slashing tires and keying like 100 cars at random in a parking lot.... Some people's moms didnt hug them enough or something, and they're starving for attention.
