total-830 bucks

Ark exhaust 1150.

Still leaves me enough to get a the invidia catless front pipe if it works and im hoping to get at least 13+hp from just the bolt ons and the extra 15-20hp from the e85..ill be happy
I'm thinking the same thing, i have the Motiv test pipe already which i would recommend over the Invidia. The MXP one is really cheap too but the Motiv is made here in the USA by some really awesome guys. I'm about to probably do the same on the intake tube and e85 tune, maybe that same muffler delete too until i can get the Motiv cat back.

Was bored, but you should still go out and buy a copy since it has nice glossy pages, and to support their efforts.

Im currently interested in the TRD gains, for my celica the TRD had the most gains acros the board and at the top end of any exhaust other than a straight pipe then they also had the TRD kazuma which was a straight pipe and it had 4 more whp over the trd and the trd gave 12-16 whp depending on the dyno

TRD cat back (USA)
TRD KAZUMA (Japan straight pipe with a muffler, muffler didnt change sound really, in fact it had no chambers and you could see right through it)

I see the Invidia systems all over--too bad they didn't test them as well, since pricing is competitive. Seems like there dozens of systems for the car out there, already...

I wonder how al these exhaust would fare on our in-house dyno, as we didn't get any power increase with just the axleback...

What kind of dyno was used?

What gear and how long were the runs?

Runs were done on a dynojet in 4th gear from 2,000 RPM and finishing at 7,500 RPM.

Looks like it depends on what RPM you were looking at. The Evo 3 appears to be quieter above 5K than alot of the other systems, but from 3-4K it is the loudest.

The db rating that showed the Evo 3 quieter was the peak RPM I guess.

Don't worry look like we can never replicate those US number in Europe.

I have been on Subaru GC8, Audi 5 inline turbo, vw R32, VW R32 supercharged and everytime they can see power inprove even from a filter and we see nothing in Europe.
Look like US dyno are set to be very sensitive.
Also when you see what number they get with a GT3071R on Audi 5 inline we never get even close to their number same with 268/264 cam on VW R32 they see big gain like 25 WHP we see max about 10-15 crank HP.

It's just like that. I can't really explain it. But for sure make people in US more exiting on getting a dropin airfilter.

I think the AP sounded the best, w/ the Perrin (w/out pre-silencer) coming in second IMO. Noob question though, how illegal are the muffler deletes in CA? I know db wise you can be ticketed and that having no muffler is illegal but do people actually get busted for that?
