Yesterday I ordered the gray steelies from Costco, and tires from tiredirect.ca (Federal Himalaya WS2 @ 205/55R16). Total cost of both orders: ~$640 with shipping and taxes included. Tires are being delivered this morning. Wheels haven't shipped yet.

Wheels are being shipped from close to Montreal so you probably won't have to wait too long once they are on their way. Took them like 4 business days to ship though so hopefully with any luck yours will be processed faster than mine were. I wouldn't be surprised if they don't ship out until Friday though.

Good to know. I don't have (an ETA for) my car yet anyways, though, so I'm not too concerned.

I'll take pictures once they are on so people can see what ugly gray wheels look like on a SWP BRZ.

I looked into the ~$130 Xi2's at Canadian Tire... Couldn't find anything for anywhere near that price!
I just got back from Costco here in Coquitlam & the tire shop manager told me they've heard of some problems with the steelies they carry from online. He even told me to spend my money & buy OEM steel wheels. Kind of odd that he wasn't recommending something that Costco was selling.

Uh oh, did he mention what kind of problems? I figured steel wheels to the manufacturer's specifications couldn't really go too awry. Maybe I was wrong. Wouldn't be the first time.

Anyway, the wheels are in Richmond now. So hopefully Tuesday delivery will happen. First snowfall hit today.

I'm running without any, but tirerack has them for about $250/set and I'm sure the dealership can get them but I think they're quite a bit more that way.

He didn't tell me specifically what. He just said to stay away from the univeral steelies.

That is more clear. Universal steelies would not be hubcentric. Descriptors like "universal fit", "multifit" would will not be hubcentric.

"OE fit" & "factory fit" appear to signal the proper bore size, but you still need to check.

The key to steelies in addition to 5x100 is "hubcentric" with a "56.1 mm bore size". We know that 16" wheels should fit because the spare is actually a 16" wheel.

As previously discussed two steel wheel codes that appear to reflect 56.1 bore dimensions appear to be:

x66008 50mm offset
x66008-1 42 mm offset
x40867 references appear inconsistent sometimes regarding dimensions.

What I think you do not want are steel wheels with a bore of 57.1 as I do not believe these are hubcentric?
