Okay, so it's the EJ207 I was thinking of @.@ Subaru's engine codes are not linear, I forgot that.
And they don't break their pistons, like current EJ257s...

I would be partial to the 2.5L if I were planning on light to light drag racing. Assuming that this car is going to be what I think it is, I would much prefer the 2L NA or Turbo for the Autocross or other track events (I really want to smoke someones s2000). A second reason I would prefer the 2L is that there is something to be said for how sexy it is to see/feel a flat (N/A) Torque curve up to 8500 RPM.

I saw that someone mentioned this car should be a seller in the drift crowd. Do you all think they will be sold new, or buy 2 years old?

But with either one, will the little RWD transmission and diff like almost double the torque of the stock motor?
If it's the AZ6 or something similar it should be good for at least 300.

Really a V8 in this!!

I will want a 2L(turbo) or a 1.6L (4agze :P) or a 20v.

I agree with putting a V8 (LS2) in an FD... but not in this!! not point!(yes there are loads of points. bigger points for the v8 vs rotary)
