If the same dealer keeps giving you issues take it to another dealer.

Like I said, I understand that it is a faulty tail light (unless the comment above is what the problem is), but that doesn't change the fact that I'm wasting my time and gas getting this car fixed every month. I'm a college student which means money and time are not things that I can afford to waste right now.
Please do tell us how many times? Cant pay for gas but you purchase a 2013 sports car?

Haha, I knew someone would say this. Probably around 20 times in the past 4 months. Maybe even more, but I've done enough math and thinking for today.

20 times?!?

I've got to hear this

So what did you make 20 trips for? Pro tip: keep a paper trail of each visit, the more detailed the better.

You know what screw it. I'm not doing anything else right now. So here it is... First time was for the tail light. Drove up to show them it (1), then they said I needed to make an appointment so I did for the next week (2). Drove up just so they could tell me they needed to order the tail light. Why did I have to make an appointment (3). Drove up to drop my car off (4). Drove up to pick the car up (5) Got home at around 8pm and noticed a dent in the trunk so I drove back up there (6). They said to bring it up in the morning so I did and "Talked" to them about the dent.(7) Got the dent fixed (8). A week later replacement for the TL condensed, brought it back up (9). Decided, screw it, lets get a bunch of stuff knocked out at once so I got the new ECU, my maintenance, and tail light fixed(10). They had a problem with the ECU and told me I had to bring my spare key up? (11) Still couldn't fix it so I had to bring my valet key up? (12) Drove to pick up rental car, which they finally decided to give me after 4 days of arguing with them that I need to be able to get to school and work.(13) They finally fixed my car and it picked it up and dropped off the rental car (14). A couple weeks later my car flashed on the low tire pressure warning which I brought up to show them and get them inflated. However, they told me they were too busy to take a look at them and I had to wait. Waited about 15 min and then I needed to leave cause I had to go back to school(15) ::Switched Dealers:: Brought the car up so that they could check for any leaks or holes, but it turns out that my previous dealer canceled my tire and rim insurance cause they said they never sold it to me (I was f***ing livid) so I went home. (16) Found my receipt called them up and gave them hell for what they did and told them I had proof that they sold me it. Went back to get my tires checked. (17)

Plus putting my deposit in. Buying the car. And picking up the car up after it was tinted which will get me to (20)

Leave the op alone it's rude to count someone's pockets, no one knows his financial position. I'd be pissed as well if I had to go back and forth 20x @ 4+$ a gallon, Its not cheap. Not to mention my dealer is roughly 40 miles away from me. He could be doing that type of distance plus college books steal your bank account.. Bastards. 800$ a semester was bs

The cost of books is crap. And the buy-back program is such a scam. They switch to newer books about every 2 years. Can't wait for Grad school... I cant even imagine what those books will cost

I've seen people put them in the oven at like 200 degrees for 15min and then move the lens around over the sealent to smooth it out and seal it up. They apply it in a weavy manner from the factory so simply moving with around will spread it out and seal it. I live in AZ we do not have and humidity to cause that so I have not had the problem or attempted to fix it just what I have seen other people do.

I was thinking about getting aftermarket blacked out tail lights. Do you think that instead of just replacing the tail light for another one that they would consider pitching in the cost of the OEM tail light towards getting the aftermarket ones? I mean theres really no sense in them paying for a new TL if I'm thinking about switching them anyways. Just a thought

That's a good question im not sure I mean free TL from the dealer is nice but if you're going to change them and the aftermarkets don't condensate then go for it!
