Unlucky Tail light #3

I just got back from Jiu Jitsu only to notice that there is condensation inside my tail light. This isn't out of the ordinary; however, this is the 3rd time this has happened! I don't know what to do. The first time I got it replaced, I picked it up from the dealer and there was a dent in my car (which after a stressful conversation with the service manager was fixed). Then the replacement started condensing up. I didn't mind, I just took it up and got it replaced. This time is what drives me over the edge. I can not stand going up to the dealer every month for the same problem. I just need some opinions here cause I'm soooo stressed out. I understand that it is a faulty tail light and isn't the dealerships fault, but I've probably wasted $40+ on gas for how many times I've been up to the dealership.

From what I'm reading on other posts, it's not the tail light per say, but how tight the person installing the mounting bolts for the tail light makes it. Seems they're very brittle.

So do I just keep bringing the car up every month. It started with the LT, then LT replacement, then RT. The one that they replaced seems to be ok.... for now.

Yes, keep taking it back till they get it right. Can you think of any other options?

claiming it a lemon because of faulty tail light housings is a bit extreme dude. its not the car its the tail light housing assembly. just tell them hey it keep getting condensation please install it carefully and properly i here they cant be over tightened or they just start leaking. but claiming it a lemon is a bit extreme for a tail light. i mean if it was like a transmission issue or differential problem or brake system something that affects the entire car mechanically then yes, but a tail light wouldnt consider it a lemon the factory tail light housing must not be a great design.

Haha, I guess you're right, but it still getting a bit ridiculous. I can't tell you how many times I've been to the dealership to get something fixed or checked out. Like I said, I understand that it is a faulty tail light (unless the comment above is what the problem is), but that doesn't change the fact that I'm wasting my time and gas getting this car fixed every month. I'm a college student which means money and time are not things that I can afford to waste right now.

I really wasn't sure what the lemon law even was until I just read about it. I agree that would be kind of extreme. Thats why I was asking about it.

Thanks I'll keep that in mind and ask them to do a bit more careful job this time.

The DRLs are actually the strips above the fogs. The "boomerang" in the headlight comes on with the parking lights and headlights.

Thanks for all the help. I also have the chirp, but I'm waiting to see if TSB actually fixes the problem. It seems like the chirp just comes back. Also, I don't want to be the ginny pig for the dealer. I got the ECU TSB and it took them 4 days to fix it:(.

yah my best friend works at Prestige Toyota of Kingston NY took a look at the TSB report.

They just replace the same part with the same junk that isnt working which is why the cricket returning to the HPFP bastard insects lol.

just make sure to take photos of the car before it goes in the shop so you can document if they try to fuck something up on you.

so far im not worried about the pump yet because no one has had engine fialure due to the fuel pump and its not been failing on people so its for now fine and the noise sucks. lol but at lest the TBS report says one thing its non detrimental to the fuel system or engine.
