Quieter how? My differential seems to have a resonance at around 70 MPH; I wonder if a different fluid would help.

07+ STIs use motul 90 PA
for our car I put in Motul Gear 300 75W90, lovin it
yes quieter 100% synthetic ester based oil, good stuff

Hum or resonance that you speak of was reduced.

We changed our diff fluid at 500 miles, and look at what came out.

Amsoil Severe Gear / Redline Gear oil / Motul Gear oil
As long as GL5 synthetic, it will work well with our Torsen rear diff.

I switched mine out today, had alot of metal particles, used Motul oil from NoLimit...
