They have the Underpanel set discounted at J-parts for orders of 4 sets. Looks to be just under 200 a set.

What are you fixing for me? http://www.japanparts.com/db/parts_d...=62&submit.y=4

edit. Oh. Shipped. Gotcha. Shipping is always a bear from J-parts. You just gotta make sure you pile on all the stuff you can think of. I wait until they have several items that I want. Then the shipping doesn't hurt so much.

At this point, based on experience, what are the best options?

He most likely meant $300ish after shipping

Update for everyone. I posted up a little bit ago on 9/28 that I ordered my panels. Received them today in a nice large Subaru box. Fitment of the parts kit is CONFIRMED. Everything bolts or clips up to factory holes. There are plugs along the outside edge of the forward panels which were a bit of a pain to remove, but are just plastic snap-in plugs. I reused all original hardware that held the USDM half-panel in place, and so ended up with some additional hardware. I tend to keep these around in case I need to remove stuff later on and clips start breaking. Also, I found out that the right side of the fuel tank already has a half cover on it; this needs to be removed before the full cover can be installed.

Thanks again everyone for the help. Total install took me about 30minutes at home on jack stands. Tools needed are a 12mm deep socket, 10mm standard socket, a flat screw driver, a panel popper tool, and possibly pliers for the PITA plugs that don't want to come out.

Cheers.

Edit: Want to add a note on the materials that these panels are made of. The rear two panels are of ABS plastic, the same you'd find on the original left side panel that would be removed. The two forward panels are made of a fiber/cloth material that is coated on the bottom side with what looks like plastic. It seems to be a great solution, as Perrin noted, that a plastic material would be best for sound dampening in addition to the aerodynamic benefits, but adds a bit extra being an even better sound insulating material.

Let me know if anyone would like a how-to on this. I'm lazy and 3 beers in.
Hey did you have to drill at all? I received mine and it looks like there's indent where some of the plugs/screws go but i'm not sure if we have to drill or remove some of the paint in that area.

Btw, 4 of us in Socal did a GB. It took exactly 1 week from the time we ordered till delivered.

I think you need to pry the plugs out. I'm interested in knowing too.

That is correct. You'll have to pull/pry those plugs out. They are plastic press in plugs and are pretty weak, but can be a pain to remove. IIRC, there are about 8-10 total.

its not gonna make you faster, or any quieter at 80mph. You must be kidding right, about fuel economy from a 2 foot by 4 foot plastic under the car right?

Its cool, its bling, and thats all folks. You will get better air foil effects from a front lip IMHO, if thats the desired result with regards to air flow under the car.

that said, aesthetically, its nice to finish the underside 'proper'

when I have extra cash pouring out and have no other mods for power, braking or suspension, this would be pretty low down on my list, unless it was for braggin rights. what should I expect this to do for me, my drive, my track times, really?

The price per HP equation fails as does the 'does it make the car look nicer'
I do look forward to pics of those of you who order and install this
