How long would it take for the fuel savings to pay for the parts themselves? also does the trd diffuser or subaru diffuser accessory further reduce the drag coefficient any further? ![]() Stainless steel diffuser for mounting on TRD's High Response Muffler Ver.R series. Quote:

Update for everyone. I posted up a little bit ago on 9/28 that I ordered my panels. Received them today in a nice large Subaru box. Fitment of the parts kit is CONFIRMED. Everything bolts or clips up to factory holes. There are plugs along the outside edge of the forward panels which were a bit of a pain to remove, but are just plastic snap-in plugs. I reused all original hardware that held the USDM half-panel in place, and so ended up with some additional hardware. I tend to keep these around in case I need to remove stuff later on and clips start breaking. Also, I found out that the right side of the fuel tank already has a half cover on it; this needs to be removed before the full cover can be installed.
Thanks again everyone for the help. Total install took me about 30minutes at home on jack stands. Tools needed are a 12mm deep socket, 10mm standard socket, a flat screw driver, a panel popper tool, and possibly pliers for the PITA plugs that don't want to come out. Cheers. Edit: Want to add a note on the materials that these panels are made of. The rear two panels are of ABS plastic, the same you'd find on the original left side panel that would be removed. The two forward panels are made of a fiber/cloth material that is coated on the bottom side with what looks like plastic. It seems to be a great solution, as Perrin noted, that a plastic material would be best for sound dampening in addition to the aerodynamic benefits, but adds a bit extra being an even better sound insulating material. Let me know if anyone would like a how-to on this. I'm lazy and 3 beers in. Last edited by zkubidu; 10-08-2012 at 11:48 PM. Reason: Forgot some details... |

Of course, link to where I got it is on the first page. Again...I was an impatient little bastard and jumped the gun. Paid full pop on their website...but I believe there's a 10% discount of some sort.
Cheers. |

Got a bit dark outside for today after I finished up and knocked back a beer. I'll get some photos tomorrow...unless you'd prefer a full shot with it in the air on a lift (though....it'd be no different than any of the ones we've seen of the JDM/Euro models).
