As an Asian person that loves to eat rice and even grows my own rice in my backyard, I find this post highly offensive.

I am sure your "rice patties" are flooded completely now.

Either way, you said that anything with larger wheels than necessary (as dictated by the brake size) is rice. Last time I checked, if your brake system diameter is, say, 14", you'd need a wheel with more than a 14" inner diameter. If that means you'd need an 18" wheel, then that's what you'd need. If that car comes with a 19" wheel, you think that makes it rice ![]() As far as your "race car tires" comment, sorry, but it just doesn't hold air. First, we're talking about street cars, not race cars. Secondly, race cars is a pretty general description. There are various different kinds of race cars and they all use different tires that are suited to their exact application (which generally aren't for street use). Drag cars, NASCAR cars, rally cars, drift cars, etc..all use specific tires. Why would anyone expect them to use wheels/tires similar to what we use on the streets these days? Sorry, but that's beyond silly. Quote:

If you have to ask yourself, "Is this rice?" It is probably at least a little bit rice.

Not much of this thread makes much sense. Just about the only thing I understand is that everyone has their own opinions on what constitutes rice.

That reminds me of a discussion a few weeks ago where some people insisted that quick and fast mean exactly the same thing and the rest of us tried in vain to explain the difference
