I agree, some pictures are just too large. I posted 2 pictures yesterday and I have to say I'm embarrassed at the size they ended up. Way too big. I won't be uploading any more pictures until I can knock them down to a smaller size. I figured the forum software would do it but as we now know it doesn't. Sorry guys, I am guilty and won't do it again.

Another vote for enabling the vB auto-resize feature. Pretty please? <3

there are easy mods you can add to forums to enforce size restrictions, heck some of them are even built in. If you embed and image or upload an image the limitation must not be exceeded, they just dont have them turned on.

Bump. It takes 300% more time to resize/upload the pics here to make sure they don't screw-up the layout compared to other boards I'm on.

That produces end-result that looks okay for one single combination of picture resolution, monitor size, %zoom in browser. It might still be overblown for some and tiny for others.
Proper resizing does it right for most. |

I'm all for an auto-resize plugin. But just IMO, it seems like everyone posts pictures that are too small. Especially with so many high resolution and 1080p devices being normal now. "Here's an awesome picture I'm going to share with you! It's 640x480 so you can tile it as your desktop wallpaper 80 times."
